Bragging, venting, crowing, grieving... (5 Viewers)

I was only in 1 money league this year, and my whole team (sans Jordy) failed to show up in the finals. I was down .4 points with Brown going into the final play. If he gets stuffed and they don't go to OT, I lose 91.02 to 90.96 and cry like a baby. He scored, I win, the Steelers take the North.
I wonder how many people won on that one play?  As it turned out he was my last player going and that one play scored 6.5 points.  After my opponents players finished up in the KC-Den game I wound up winning by....6.5 points.  Would have been our first ever tie in the championship.  Thankfully it was not.

I thought that reach might be the worst way to lose a league, but if you had the Broncos defense and lost on that Dontari Poe pass.....man.

My all world dynasty team fell apart in the playoffs.  But I still could have won if I hadn't talked myself out of starting SD in favor of DEN.  Still sucks when your studs like Brees and Brown get outscored by Tyrod Taylor and Meredith.

I won my 2 man keeper league. Funny that all I care about is the one I lost.

Was feeling pretty good after brown scored his TD putting me up 68 with me being done and him having kelce, Dak and Beasley. Well until kelce matched his best week this year by halftime. Now gotta hope dak and Beasley don't score more then 34.2 points

PITT DST got credited with 2 more TFL overnight for my opponent. The score of my championship now stands 102.41-102.04. I'm up .37. I can take another .25 hit and still win. If they change anything else like a sack or fumble recovery I will lose.

2 leagues 2 finals.

Im 31 points ahead in one of them and he has only Dan Bailey to go.

In the other, I'm 3.2 points ahead with Prater to go and he has Marvin Jones. Non-PPR. I like my chances but think Marvin may screw me. I actually dropped him to the wire a few weeks back and opponent picked him up and is starting him for the first time.

I have Luck, DJ, AB, Evans, Olsen, and started Blue in absence of Miller.  Scored 165 points in ESPN ppr scoring.

Lost by 40.  He had Rodgers, Jordy, Bell, Cooks, Kelce.

Had Smiff Sr. in flex, but saw that Farrow was being rated as the play with matchup. So I put Farrow in. Bad move. Always pick the veteran on a good team over rookie, regardless the matchup.  Now I need Stafford and Dez to exceed projections which I'm not very hopeful about.

And every can't miss hold because they will be dominant during the playoffs.  I am looking at you Deion Lewis, Kenny Dixon and Thomas Rawls.

Well, I'm sure this thread is about to blow up with the Dez hate/love.

In my only championship match, my opponent had only Dez left, and needed like 29 points.

Now thanks to a Dez TD pass (his only pass attempt in his career I might add), he is easily within reach.    :wall:

This would easily be one of the more bizarre beats I have ever taken, if this happens....and trust me, I've had some bad ones.

I have a 2 point lead in my championship game. Elliott has exactly 80 rushing yards. We get 1 point per 20 yards and a 1 point bonus at 80.

If they change his stats overnight to 79 yards, that makes my game a tie. Tiebreaker is total yards gained and I'm behind by 13 yards. Meaning if they take a yard away, I lose the game and a $4,800 payday.

I joked Friday with the commissioner about all the excruciating ways I've come up just short in this league and I predicted that Hauschka would miss 2 PATs and I would lose by one. He missed one and now I could lose by 0.

Live scoring has me ahead 113.70-110.25

1 yard per 10 points.

Barring any weird scoring corrections, I think I've won!

 Congratulations................

Dez going berserk had me on the brink of a loss.  I was up  over 27 points and he had only Dez left.

As it stands I am currently ahead 2.08 .

They overthrew Dez on another bomb in their next to last series, that would have done me in for sure.

Now we await the stat corrections, but hopefully we should have enough to overcome any of those.

Ironically, in this same league, I have (now?) won 3 years in a row, and even more fluky, I beat the exact same owner each year in the finals.

My other teams didn't fare as well this year.   :wall:

Great year for both my teams.

Dynasty - 12 - 3 with 100 more points than next team.  Finals this week, favored by 12.  DJ and Zeke have been the bell cows along with getting Stafford on the cheap in our pre season auction. A.J. Green loss hurt but the two carried me.

Redraft - 11 - 3 (1st round playoff bye) with 150 more points than next team.  Finals this week, favored by 6. DJ, Freeman, and McCoy (flex) in the first 3 rounds has paid off.  Worked a weak WR core. Opponent has Bell and Zeke so it could be a shoot out.

Common thread to teams is David Johnson so concerned that he faces the Seahawks this week.  If he is shut down it could be a blue Christmas for my teams.

Bring it home boys!
So I lost both of course!

In the dynasty league I scored more points that any team had scored in the 5 year history of our championship game.  Unfortunately, my opponent with Nelson and Kece scored 7 more. The game wasn't settle until the Stafford fumble inside the 10.  If he throws a TD instead of fumbles its a 7 point change and I have Prater as my kicker so I win by 1!  Makes me beyond sick!

I hope fate has a better ending for you.

PPR league with passing TDs 6pts. Normal winning score is 100-120. 150 is a big day.

I scored 179.82 pts and got smoked by almost 30. This game is just cruel.

Needed 38 from Stafford and Dez to win --Dez did his part; I was at 39 till Stafford fumble--- ends up in tie which goes to opponent who beat me regular season --wish tie breaker was bench scoring where I had Thielen and Smiff Sr

The good: Clay helped me survive Elliott last night and I won!

The bad: What I won was a trip to a Week 17 Super Bowl, where I have to replace half my team and most of his guys need to keep winning.

Been to 6 of the last 7 Championship games and lost for the 6th time. Rodgers/Nelson combo did me in before I got started. I'm cursed in that league.

Lost by 5 points. Agggghhhhhhh. Literally every single coin flip lineup decision I made was wrong. Had even one of those calls been correct (6 positions) I would have won.

You and me both. Inmnan over Tyrell...Hunter over Clay. When is it appropriate to start mock drafts?

winner-winner-winner :pickle: :pickle: :pickle:

  • now going into 2 title games (14team and 16team) in my head-to-head leagues. In the 16 teamer I was top scorer knocking out 2nd highest by two points.
  • and in the total points league me and the other top team decided on a 850/800 split (would be 1100/550).
:pickle: :pickle: :pickle: for 3!

Only player that was drafted and remained on all 3 teams... Doug Baldwin!

Condolences for those who have to make Week 17 decisions. Won my league title on Sunday and couldn't even fathom having to make roster choices with so many unknowns.

For those still playing this weekend, who is the oddball Week 17 player you need to push you over the line?  With Carr out, it looks like Taylor Gabriel might have to put on his big boy shoes this weekend for me.

Lots of ups and down for me this past week in the finals of a friends and family league.

(-)  Lost Eifert for week 16 champ game
(+) Picked up Clay who got me 20

(+) Got Julio back just in time for the finals
(-) He puts up only 6 points

(-) Left Wilson on the bench where he blows up for 46 points
(+) Started Stafford who got me 14

(+) Held onto San Diego defense for several weeks just for the tasty week 16 matchup vs. Cleveland.  20 pts.

(+) Elliott, Bell, and Hilton go nuts, and I win the title by 20 pts!!!!

Part brag and part vent.

good is I made it to the championship in my main league which is a 12 team PPR dynasty with friends.

the bad is it's a week 17 championship and I have multiple players either hurt or not likely to play because of rest. On my bench I will have OBJ, Bell, AJ Green, Keenan, Lacy, Monecrief and Brate. Other bad thing is my opponent actually has players playing for playoffs in Jordy, Djax and Brady, and also DJ who is probably going for some sort of record

Here's to hoping that Steve smith ends his career with a very good game, Evans puts his team into the playoffs, deangelo Williams fills in good for bell and Seattle targets jimmy

I think you have a good shot with your wish list, except this. He's too valuable a backup to waste on a meaningless game, and he's still being eased into action. Toussaint will get the bulk of the work imo.

How many benches was Thielen on I wonder
not mine

:pickle:

was outfloored and went with the high ceiling options of Theilen and Meredith  :pickle:

sometimes it just works out, still have to bring it home this week

I'm in two leagues.  League #1, I lost in the championship last year.  League #2, I lost in the championship the year before.

This year I am in the League #2 championship against the same guy that beat me two years ago.  I've had the highest scoring team all  year thanks to Bell and Elliott.  He has Ingram and Ajayi go crazy on Saturday and I am down 44 going into Sunday.  I have Bell and Elliott and he has Tucker kicking for the Ravens.  Baltimore can't find the endzone and Tucker gets 13, Bell wakes up in the 4th, but I'm still down 32 going into Monday.

At the end of the 3rd quarter Elliott has 25 and I have hope.  I need 20 more yards and a TD.  There is hope ... except Elliott never sees the 4th. :kicksrock:

I'm Number Two!  again.

....and down goes Taylor!

Not much of an oddball player but.....Jordan Matthews, come on down!  6 / 60 - I'm not asking for much, dude!

ETA: Subbed in for Matthews late, didn't like what I was hearing on Twitter

I just want to give the :finger: to Ertz for bombing the one week that counted. Where was this last week, you turd.

Lost my championship game last week thanks to Tyrod Taylor and Charles Clay of all people. But to be honest, that team caught a lot of good breaks throughout the season so I was satisfied with second place.

However, in another league I was 7-3, with two second highest score losses, sitting in second place with games left against the 1st, 8th, 9th, 10th place teams respectively. So I'm thinking, beat the 1st place team and take over 1st with an easy schedule remaining, or at worst lose to the 1st place team then surely beat the worst teams in the league and with this being a Yahoo Pro league, having the possibility of facing an abandoned team or two. And, yep, lost four games in the row to finish 7-7 in fifth place and out of the playoffs. I have to hand it to the bottom dwellers though for not quitting. I never quit, so I love being a spoiler when I am out of the running, came back to bite me. A little late on my rant, but I needed the self-therapy to start the new year.

Up by 5.1 points mostly because the cards D put up 35 points. he has Jordy left tho so not much of a chance, other bad part is I'm a packers fan so I want the packers to win, I guess I gotta hope for Adams, cook and Montgomery to get all the targets
