Braylon Edwards Status? (1 Viewer)

Didn't even know he was ailing. Now I see he missed both Wed and Thur practices. Crennell says he "should be ok." I can't afford shoulds. Any Browns homers or anyone else with info, please keep us up to date!

Neither am I, but with Cotchery down, my only other option is Booker! :kicksrock:

Very much a high risk, high reward factor playing out here. Cardinals secondary is thin due to injuries. One thing to keep an eye on here is the weather in Arizona. Humidity does not bode well for muscles when not properly hydrated. Just something to keep in mind. This is why players cramp up in those conditions. Can't be good for a sore hamstring. Weather has a tendency to seek those kind of things out. Far from a safe play. The Browns may elect to run more to keep the Cardinals offense off the field anyway. Good luck. Tough call.

Booker may actually be a good play this week. Solid sleeper. The Dolphins at home vs. the Jets and fighting for a win. May be their last chance at that, and Beck didn't look all that bad last week considering the conditions and opponent in Pittsburgh.

Just heard on ESPN Radio that Edwards will be a GTD.

Maybe Fitz and Edwards will warm up together and see how they feel.

I watched the local news in Cleveland yesterday and the sports caster said Edwards fully participated in practice on Friday and will be playing on Sunday. I have him starting in my leagues.

This looks like good news (from Rotoworld):

Braylon Edwards (hamstring) remains confident he'll play against Arizona Sunday despite his "questionable" listing on the injury report.

Edwards only had a limited practice Friday after sitting out Wednesday and Thursday's workouts, but the Browns expect him to play Sunday. "I'm feeling great," the former Michigan star said. "I'll be at my best."

I wouldn't trust that Sports Caster then. He is dead wrong according to every other source out there.

This from CBS..the problem I have is that I have both Fitz and Edwards and my lineup has to locked in by 1:00 :wall: :wall:

Browns WR Braylon Edwards returned to limited practice reps Friday after sitting out the previous two days because of a hamstring injury. The Browns offered no further comment on Edwards' status and it appears he will be a game-time decision for Week 13 at Arizona. Browns head coach Romeo Crennel is not overly concerned about Edwards' injury and is confident he will be on the field against the Cardinals. "I expect him to play (Sunday)," Crennel told NFL.com on Thursday.

From FBG's news blogger...

WR Edwards Likely To Play This WeekendAkron Beacon-Journal - [Full Article]Cleveland Browns budding superstar WR Braylon Edwards insisted he'll be ready for this Sunday's matchup against the Arizona Cardinals. He is especially looking forward to competing against fellow young WR Larry Fitzgerald on the other side. "He's been kicking my butt the last two weeks," Edwards said. "It's going to be fun to go against the Cardinals and a little private individual battle. I don't care about the catches; I care about the touchdowns."

Ditto...and I only have Galloway and Harrison behind them. :tinfoilhat:

My gut feeling is that both will play, The problem with hammys and groins is that they can be tweaked the first time a full burst is needed.
Da Guru voiced my concern. He may suit up and play, then leave in the first quarter if he aggravates it. Is anyone considering other options due to this risk? I'm considering S. Smith or D. Bowe simply because I have a little cushion from Thursday night and the only thing that can kill me now is goose-eggs.
