Plenty close to hit with an assault rifle with no problems, especially before they took cover behind the car. One of the guys had a freaking M4. First time I ever picked one of those up at a range I had never fired a rifle before and it was virtually impossible to miss the target from about that same distance.

I would have preferred they ended the episode with the slo-mo of the first shot. Then do the implausible shots missing at the beginning of the next episode. We'd forget about it if it were there.

Another thing I didn't like about this episode was that Walt would have picked up that something was amiss when Jesse told him to be there while he burns the money. How was that not a red flag to Walt? If Jesse was serious he would have burned it all and then called Walt. He didn't need anything from Walt at that point.

Other than those 2 little things, loved the episode.

Yea but it's a TV show. Either buy in or don't, I guess. I thought the magnets at the police station was by far the most implausible scene they've done, but it didn't detract from my enjoyment any.

You have to allow for Walt's ego and the massive stress of Hank knowing to override some common sense. He's in panic mode and we know that he doesn't always think things through very well in that state. The money is all he has left with Hank bearing down in him so if that's threatened, he freaks out. Plus, he's usually able (and enjoys doing) to manipulate Jesse so he probably thinks he can save it.

I think you're forgetting the giant invisible dome which protected Hank and his group. You can't shoot through that dome, man! Come on.

I watched this specific segment a couple of times, freezing it in several spots, and I think that's just a button-wrinkle caused by him moving around. If you freeze the screen just a split second later, his shirt is straightened back out and there's no "wound."

So, the final 20 minutes of this particular episode rival the episode two seasons back where Walt ended the scene laying on his back laughing like the Joker.

From the moment Walt saw the text message, I don't think I took a breath. Just some of the best TV you'll ever see, from the text all the way until the shootout started.

I personally believe the actual shootout was a bit of a letdown. I think letting Gomez and Hank take a couple bullets and die as the credits come to a close would have made that the best 20 minutes of TV that I've ever seen. But alas, I trust that the BB writers know what they are doing, so perhaps they will make up for it in a way that blows us all away during the next episode.

It was great, but disappointing that they decided to make the low budget assassin crew the worst shots ever. That 5 guys with assault rifles couldn't hit two guys standing out in the open from 30 feet away is totally unbelievable. Gotta think Honk and Gomer find a way to survive this, otherwise there's no reason for them to have dragged this battle of the world's 7 worst shots into next week.

I could barely watch when Honk was on the phone with Maria. I thought some sniper was just going to pop him from off the screen. It was like watching a horror flick when you know that some dude is going to jump out from somewhere at any moment.

I don't have the same problems that you do regarding the shooting. BUT, I do think they missed an opportunity for a truly epic sequence if Hank and Gomez had died quickly right after the tension of him being on the phone with Marie. Maybe they'll make up for it in the next episode.

That's what I was thinking as well. Once that guy opened fire onto two stationary targets, one with a limp, I thought they were dead. Then they get Walt at gunpoint. Next move is what?

I think most of us are glossing over the fact that the Nazis and (by proxy) Walt are shooting at and are going to kill two Federal Agents. For the most part, their lives as they know it are over. I don't think there's going to be a meth business anymore. Logically, if the Nazis are into self preservation...it makes more sense to kill Hank, Gomey, Jesse and Walt....and tell Lydia to stick it in regards to her concerns of purity.

Why would walt save Jesse now? The entire reason the Nazi's are there is to kill Jesse. That's what started this. Walt hasn't suddenly changed his mind on Jesse. If anything he's even more scared of Jesse now that he knows he will work with the Feds AND try to get his (Walt's) money.

Walt not thinking clearly is how I managed to suspend disbelief but Walt (and others) regularly pick up on things way less obvious than that.
