AMC is running back through the whole series. They showed Season 4 from June 23-27 and I assume it will be on again before the 15th.Yep, Season 4 starts again at 2:23AM tomorrow morning/tonight.
 thank you Sirdvr set
Enjoy. The first episode of S4 is pretty awesome. Actually, that's true of every episode of S4.

:goodposting:i just rewatched the entire series in the last 2 weeks. I am up to the last episode of S4. Its as great watching it a second time as it was the first.

To the Netflixsters who are stuck at the end of season 3...tonight starts season 4 E1...it's on at like 4 or 5 in the morning so you are gonna have to DVR it. Then from tonight and thru the rest of the week they run 2-3 episodes a night (DVR those as well) right up to the premiere of Season 5 this Sunday. If you miss it tonight you are going to kick yourself.

I'm loving the promos:

. . . not on Dish Network.
 that ad campaign still gives me a chuckle and they've been playing it during all their prime programming. I think it's a bad move on Dish's part. AMC is like HBO on basic cable. Pay them a little more for their loyal customer base. Come to think about it, I really only watch HBO, AMC and a few cable/sports news channels.

Anyone know the backstory on how Walt's career derailed into teaching?
They kinda hint at it (Gretchen falling for Elliot instead of Walt). I bet we will get the full story in Season 5
I just started watching 'Full Measure' which starts with a flashback of Walt and Skyler looking at a house, and some dialogue about his big gig at a local lab.Thought maybe I missed something along the way.

Never fully explained. He had some kind of a falling out with Gretchen and Elliott whereby either1) Gretchen and Elliott started seeing each other behind his back2) Gretchen and/or Elliott were going to use the company/inventions in a way that Walt didn't like3) Gretchen and/or Elliott usurped control of the business and/or took (undue, in Walt's mind) credit for their work4) Skyler was pregnant and the new business was too big of a riskPerhaps there are other theories (probably discussed upwards in this thread), but they seem to be the main issues we can glean.

Hopefully we learn a bit more of this and Gustavo's backgrounds which explain the depth of their characters more as we wrap up the story.

When Gretchen and Walt have their "discussion" after she finds out about Walt's lie to his wife, Gretchen makes it clear that it was Walt who ended their relationship.

I'm sure we'll get some flashbacks....would be cool if Hank was doing research about Chile and tracking his life. I'd love to see Gus chopping heads with Pinochet.

Then why was she surprised by Walt storming off when they were at the country house? There still is a big question there.

b/c they're successful off his genius and he's a high school chemistry teacher?

I think he means Walt storming off back when they were young. It is true that it is still an unanswered question, but it seems like Walt's ego was bruised in some way, whether justified or not, which caused him to leave and go down the path that he did.

My theory is that Walt couldn't handle something. Whether it was the business end of things or Gretchen cheating on him, I don't know. Walt's "breaking bad" has a lot to do with wanting credit for his genius and product. He had somebody get rich and adulation from HIS idea(s) and/or product(s) in the past and Walt got no credit and no money out of it. So now, he is obsessed and doing whatever it takes to continue to make money and gain respect from HIS product. He refuses to make the same mistake twice.
