For me, I really only hate her for that stupid klepto storyline. Really pissed me off that they took time out of the homestretch of season 4 to watch her go to open houses and steal a spoon.

Though I agree, I kinda get it. It was a way to show the lengths she'd go to escape her life with miserable Hank.

I loved that limited storyline.Comcast lists BB as a 'comedy-drama' in its guide.

That story had plenty of comedy, plus it further developed the Marie-Hank dynamic.

What was the line from Hank to the APD guy who visited him and Marie?

Something like, What'd she do now, rob a bank?'

Can't speak for RN, but my scenario applies of AJ was driving and Janice was in the passenger's seat.

See, I think Janice was one of the top four or five characters on the show and was probably responsible for more out loud laughing from me than any other character.

It really is amazing. I have been a fan of many HBO shows, not sure this is technically the best show ever but when you learn that AMC gave them no budget to run the show it makes it even better. The show is really raw, kind of like how Miami Vice was raw at the time it was airing 30 years ago. BB does an amazing job of building tension and then when violence or something violent happens it happens quickly and with a burst.
 
Box cutter is the best season premier in the history of tv. From the tension left over from season 3 to how the entire episode built up to gus changing clothes and then SLICE, it was amazing. Will be interesting to see what they do tonight.

I'll give you that it's likely the most tension-filled season premier I've seen. I don't think it's necessarily the best.

It makes you appreciate it more IMO. A lot of shows get big budgets and don't produce the kind of work these folks do. AMC has had to make some tough choices on what they spend their money producing these shows. They don't have the budget of an HBO even and certainly not network television.

I was not impressed with that episode except at the end. It felt like a lot of build up for not as much payoff. The first 3-4 episodes of season 4 were very slow. I would rate the Tuco episodes a lot higher than the beginning of Season 4. I was blown away though the 2nd half of season 4, things have really gone bonkers at this point. The show could have closed with the end of Gus, hope the new season is as enjoyable.

Not for nothing, but this 10 EST stuff is BS. Take a page from HBO and kick it off at 9.

I mean I'm watching anyway, but I'm a night owl. My wife is passing on this show because (she has no taste, clearly) it's on too late.

Pretty sure it's an FCC/TV-MA cutoff thing.
 
I could see this premiere setting some of viewing/ratings record, with the (deserved) hype it's getting, and all the newer fans playing catch-up.
