Breaking Bad on AMC (4 Viewers)

Netflix only has the first part of season 5. If you go to buy the DVDs they have "Season 5" and "The Final Season". Some people consider the latter as Season 6.

Ok, so s4e10 has one of the few errors in the show. Earlier Gale had stated he could make 96% pure meth and Walt's was 99%, maybe higher. Jesse does a cook down in Mexico for the cartels and his sample comes up 96.2% and everyone thinks its great.

Good question. IIRC, Gale was the only person that cared that it was "only" 96 percent.
Yes. 96% was perfectly acceptable to Gus. Gale bowed to Walt's greater skill; that's all.

Business is about to pick up. Salud.
Easily my favorite episode from BB.

Also love the music video styled montages of Jesse making it rain at the strip club to the daily grind of our favorite hooker turning tricks.

This show really had it all. Damn, I miss it :kicksrock:

Gale was competent, good even. But the cartel wanted the cook of the premium blue meth. They'd know the purity of the product their competition and Jesse's cook wasn't good enough.

So Chloe's husband told him it was the first cook of many because it wasn't good enough?

Still want to know how Gus knew not to get back into his car at the hospital parking lot.
Jesse saying, "He was poisoned," in reference to Brock got Gus thinking, and he probably knew something wasn't right. Of course, we didn't know that at the time, since the original assumption was that Gus did it, and the reveal that Walt did it didn't come till the end of the next episode, but still, I think Gus' just starting thinking about it like crazy and he knew something was amiss. The fact that Jesse had to then be knocked out, taken to the lab to cook, watched by a guy with a gun, and handcuffed whenever the guy had to step away (like when he was handcuffed when the guy went and got shot by Walt), just showed that Gus suspected Jesse and Walt were up to something.

Yeah, just seemed like his powers of deduction there were borderline preternatural.

Walt's "I won" is so great. Its my favorite sequence of the series ending on the shot of the flower. Its about as pimp as Han Solo's "I know"

He saw glint from Walt's glasses from across the parking lot. If you go back and re-watch that scene, they make a special point to show how his glasses are resting on his forehead, exposed to the sun.

That's not true. They didn't want Gus producing meth on his own and controlling superior supply. The 96% was sufficient, for their purposes especially for the first try.

I didn't understand this>

At the beginning of season 5, it is immediately safe for Skyler and Flynn to head home after Gus is killed. But it was the "cartel" who attacked Hank and the anonymous tip was the "cartel" was coming back to finish the job.

I know Walt told Skyler they were safe, but no idea how Flynn and Skyler just headed out of Hanks house after Gus was killed without explaining anything.

After he was killed in Hector Salamanca's room, the DEA linked Gus to the cartel, and there was no chatter etc. about a threat to Hank, so they assumed the dispute was taken care of.

Seems like a leap in less than 24 hours.

"We haven't heard in chatter in the last 10 minutes. Everything must be clear..."

Is it too simplistic to classify Todd as your run-of-the-mill sociopath, or is there something deeper going on there? He's so damn polite, yet kills indiscriminately. There's a childlike quality to him which may or may not be masking a mental disability. Where is Dr. Melfi when you need her?
