Breastfeeding (1 Viewer)

Haven't read the whole thread, has anyone mentioned breast feeding is free? That's a good thing.

Secondly, my wife breast fed for like 3 or 6 months for both kids. I would have really hated her to go any longer. I wanted to get back to seeing her as a wife/object of desire, and not just a mom/milk fountain.
YOU GREEDY SELF CENTERED MOTHER^%$#@ YOU!!!!
:goodposting: Of course, I'm human.

I haven't read the thread either. Another bonus is that it provides birth control.
As long as the nursing mother is exclusively breastfeeding, (nursing frequently day and night with no supplemental feedings), the baby is younger than 6 months of age, and the mother has not started having periods, she is more than 98% protected against pregnancy.

"Next door to Niger in Burkina Faso, fewer than 7 percent of children get breast milk exclusively for six months. In Senegal it’s 14 percent; in Mauritania, 3 percent."

In the United States, about 13 percent of babies are exclusively breast-fed for six months, according to the federal Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.I would have guessed the number was much higher.
It would be higher if it weren't exclusively for stinky hippies. Nobody wants to deal with the inconvenience of having your kid hanging off your wife's ta-tas for 12 months.

And I would consider a parent's job pretty important to a child's long-term development. Some businesses simply do not give adequate time off or long-term payment options. If a Mom has to work to make money or keep her career on track then she has to work.
Federal LawEmployers are to require employers to provide reasonable break time for an employee to express breast milk for her nursing child for one year after the child's birth each time such employee has need to express the milk. Employers are also required to provide a place, other than a bathroom, that is shielded from view and free from intrusion from coworkers and the public, which may be used by an employee to express breast milk.

N-E-S-T-L-E-Sever wonder about the "hippie" ban of Nestles? It was for their attempted ban of Nestles products for their unconscionable (successful) marketing campaign to wean African mothers away from breast milk to their formula.

La Floppolinha is latching like a champ. Last time, it took a few days for the wife's milk to come in... given the almost 4 weeks early birth, I'm expecting the same this time around.

My niece is breastfeeding Elmo. She just got a new sister 2 weeks ago and has decided that "Melmo eat boobies". Even a <2 year old knows it's the way to go.

this thread is hilarious
Especially when I read that the guy that started it has been a parent for a whopping three days. He knows what is best for you all though. Folks that seemingly believe that their opinion on matters should be the opinion of others give me the runs.ETA: holy crap. How old is this thread? I quit reading at page 3. Is his wife still breastfeeding and the kid breaking all kinds of records by now?I think getting mommy back to work and having her put more money in the kids college account is more important than boobfeeding.

Never mind that they are one of the biggest enablers of child slavery and labor.
