Brees' Dynasty Value at present (1 Viewer)

I'm sitting in one of my dynasty teams with Brees & Stafford and thinking I may want to move one. Due to age, I think Brees may be the guy and I'm wondering what his dynasty value is right now. Is his value affected by his age? The bounty scandal? How much affect?

I don't think the bounty scandal has any impact, to be honest. At age 34, he's in that twilight zone where it impacts his dynasty value in a negative way, yet I would think that he has enough high quality to elite years remaining (3-4?) that he shouldn't be sold at much of a discount, so long as you're team is truly a contender.

While some have said I sold him for too cheap, I had the same 2 QBs in one of my dynasty leagues and did the following trade

Gave: Brees, 3.10

Got: Matt Ryan, Hankerson, 1st in 2013

If I had to guess, I think the pick will be in the 1.3 - 1.7 range next year.

Any Quarterback who throws as much as Brees; as effectively should not be scrutinized over a defensive-based scandal.

YEAR COMP ATT % YARDS AVG TD

2011 - 468 657 71.2 5,476 8.3 46

2010 - 448 658 68.1 4,620 7.0 33

2009 - 363 514 70.6 4,388 8.5 34

2008 - 413 635 65.0 5,069 8.0 34

2007 - 440 652 67.5 4,423 6.8 28

2006 - 356 554 64.3 4,418 8.0 26

Dynasty-wise, he's the perfect player for that system. He doesn't rely strictly on arm strength either; he's come back from a shoulder injury to become elite. Seeing as we've seen Kurt Warner play at a high level at age 38 and Brett Favre at age 40. I wouldn't be shocked to see Brees continue to be productive for at least 5 more seasons.

He's a Top - 5 lock for the next 5 years. There's not many players you can say that about besides the 'no brainers' drafted ahead of him:

Cam Newton

Aaron Rodgers

Besides that, I can't think of a QB's stock who SHOULD be higher besides maybe (coincidentally) Philip Rivers who I believe is underrated.

Yeah man, that was cheap. You have to figure at least 4 more NFL seasons where he is a top 5-7 QB. That is worth a lot.
