EXIT, STAGE LAMBEAU

"Quarterback Brett Favre is no longer at Lambeau Field.

According to Tom Silverstein of the Milwaukee Journal-Sentinel, Favre made his exit less than 30 minutes before practice, which is scheduled to begin at 3:00 p.m. EDT.

For now, the only thing that’s known is that Favre won’t be at practice on Tuesday.

Coach Mike McCarthy still hasn’t addressed the media about the situation."

- I wonder if they told him to leave until he is traded. Favre will demand to be released because he is not allowed to practice. He will be granted his release like Lamont Jordan in a few days or be traded. Thoughts?

I'd like to know what he eats for dinner tonight and what he does between now and dinner.
You're asking this as if you're not going to find out or that it won't be reported. Don't be silly, we'll all know the answers to your questions and many more by tonight.

Chopper 5 is reporting that he's presently fueling up with 89 octane gas, and he seems to be talking to his Greta Van Susteren antenna ball.

He ate 2 KFC Snacker Sandwhiches, and an order of Potato wedges.

He adjusted himself thrice inside the KFC and once upon leaving.

Its well known when he is done using the urinal, he shakes it not once, not twice, but thrice.

His favorite beer is Milwaukee's Best.

He loves watching McGyver when he's not watching ESPN or NFL network and following this situation.

His poo smells like roses.

according to yahoo news alerts he has already asked for his release

Tue, Aug 5 The Sports Network reports Green Bay Packers QB Brett Favre has reportedly asked the team to release him. The Packers have once again denied Favre's request to talk to teams within the NFC North division about a possible trade.

Not often you can use the word "thrice" twice in a post. I would have been more impressed if you used it thrice.

It's not teams in the NFC North it's the Vikings and only the Vikings. The one place fans do not want him going. He doesn't want them to have to trade anything for him either. So much for having a legacy in Wisconsin.

If Green Bay wants to have him as their starter, I am sure he would do it. Since they don't, he's got his second fave, and he's gonna push for it.

for crying out loud can we get a new forum just for Favre in here

and while we're at it can ESPN make a new channel ... ESPNFavre

So tonight he goes home again to mull over what he and Thompson talked about, and his family starts telling him again that the Packers #### on him and that he needs to go in tomorrow and call their bluff etc. etc. etc.

It's like watching a ping pong ball.

Packers are beyond dumb.... simply ridiuclous back Aaron Rodgers over Brett Favre....

Thompson should already be fired for his handling of this...

Well, the latest bulletin is Thompson and Murphy were at Favre's house until a half hour ago. Of course. ESPN of course has the video footage of them leaving. With all these hours of talking, you'd think they'd figure soemthing out...

Oh don't worry they will be after this season....no doubt about it. They are done...toast. And deservedly so. Tards all the way around.

Thrice!

Maybe Favre wanted his own reality tv show, the networks said no, so he created his own.

Or maybe this is another, strange M. Night Shyamalan movie! I see unretired people

I would think they have either agreed on a stay retired package or are finalizing a trade if Favre is leaving. The commish is already threatening to step in so I can't see this dragging out much longer. This is getting rough as a Packer fan since I can not understand why they don't welcome him back and even if they want to move on why they do not just trade him somewhere before the commish steps in and forces resolution. Possibly the sticking point is GB has a trade in place but to a team Favre does not want to play for? I still suspect GB and the Jets have a deal but Favre is balking at it.

I can see the commercials now...."You've heard of FlightAware.com. Now there's.....FavreAware.com!

Track Favre anywhere he goes in the country, all from the comfort of your computer".
I'm already on this BETA 1 releases tomorrow

Think of the worst breakup you've ever had with a girl and multiply it by 10x.

Now you have Favre and the Packers.

I was tuning in and out, but heard Wendi Nix say she talked to Favre a couple of times today and she was emphatic that he wasn't taking the marketing deal.

Kare11 news (kare11.com) has notified there is a 5pm news conference to update the Brett Favre situation.

I assume they will finish practice, talk to the players and then release news to the media?

Per Ed Werder, he's talking to Tampa Bay about a trade.
Why would Brett want to play for Tampa Bay? They're probably not a legit title contender, their WR corps are among the lowest in the league (I mean, led by Joey "Older than McCain" Galloway?), their o-line is decent but nothing to make Brett feel "safe". Small fanbase/area ... Other than being able to start, I don't see the benefit of going to TB. Are there NO other teams that would be willing+able to trade for Favre that would start him?

All Brett is concerned about is sticking it to TT.

Uh huh. I'm sure they'll just be thrown out in the street after getting extensions recently. Not likely. Nor should it happen.

It could be worse.Just picture what the Shark Pool would be like if Favre was caught videotaping other team's signals. :lmao:

Reportedly, from that speculative thread (which one isn't, right?), the Channel 12 WISN TV station has learned that a deal has been reached (supposedly) between the teams, and the Bucs are negotiating with Favre as to restructuring his contract.I know, I know, but it all fits and makes sense from a report standpoint. The Bucs DID make the playoffs last year, and they DO play the Packers in Tampa on Sept. 28th.It wouldn't be as direct as going to the Vikings, but Favre would still get his opportunity to stick it to the Packers at least once.

Maybe Favre can sleep with Mangini's wife.

Looks like this may finally be over in the next 24-48 hours. :excited:

If he's not going to practice with the Packers, then either Favre is going to retire again (VERY unlikely), or he'll be traded. And he'd probably be traded very quickly, since he'll need to learn about his new playbook, teammates, etc in a very short time.

Or transporting a kilo of coke. Of course, all the Favre defenders would be yelling that the coke was lying and spreading rumors about him.

That would give Tampa what like 8 Qb's on the roster.Gruden loves QBs.

It's like Liz Taylor with husbands, and only slightly more successful.

6 QBs, but I think the Bucs would finally be willing to cut Simms so he can sign with Dallas.

Oh that is right they finally got the whole Jake Plummer thing finalized last month. My bad.

Sure is nice of those Bucs to look out for Dallas' interests like that.

You're reading it wrong.Everybody knows that there is mutual interest between Dallas and Simms, but the Bucs are holding out from cutting him because they want a 4th rounder in trade. Just a standoff going on between the two.
