Brett Favre @ Minnesota (1 Viewer)

Am I recalling correctly that Favre struggles mightily in domes, and especially against Minnesota? And I am not even talking about the Minn tough D of today.

For those of us in 2 QB leagues, Favre has been fantastic - but I wonder if other options may be warranted in his matchup this upcoming week. Coming off two great games, the one at home tying the TD record. Could this game be a letdown against a very good defense and a team against which, Favre has not had much luck at times in the past, in the dome?

or am I remembering incorrectly or overthinking.

He only had one bad game where he still racked up 285 yards passing, and in mediocre game in where he put up 227 with 2TDs and 2INTs, in all other contests he put up pretty studly numbers IMO.

Not a bad 5 year stretch. I know over the years there were some uglier games, but Brett seems to have solved some of the Dome curse that crushed him early in his career. He'll be passing early and often since the Pack can't run on anyone, much less the Vikings tough Run D.

Probably because everyone in the upper midwest that hates Favre always says that, hoping that it is still true. **The dome is his Kryptonite**. Unfortunately, with the way that our D has had problems stopping the pass over the few years, it has helped Favre drop that bad habit. As much as I hate to cheer against my hometeam...my Favre/Minnesota D matchup this coming week is looking pretty. I'll be resting Big Ben this week (helps that Favre has outscored or matched his production the last 3 weeks anyway). I hate to admit it, but Favre will probably single handedly win the game for the Pack (and keep them undefeated for another week) this week by eating the Minnesota pass defense for lunch.

Small and skewed sample size clung to by detractors. Domes and artificial turf where the rumor. Basically this tanslated to going on the road to Minnesota, Dallas, and St. Louis when they were good. Not surprisingly road games against very good teams lead to minimal success. Road games against crappy opponents, not so much. The relationship was not domes, it was high quality road opponents. The press, looking for any ***** inhis armor, and being to stupid to see the true correlation harped on the incorrect conclusion. The figured if they repeated it enough it must be true.

I do think the Minnesota D will put a lot more pressure on Favre than he's been seeing. He may still burn them on quick slants, but sacks/INT's may are not hard to see.
