Brian Leonard....why is he ranked so high this week? (1 Viewer)

Just curious - picked him up as a handcuff for SJax, but haven't seen anything great, outside of last week's respectable game. Given his match-up this week on the road in Baltimore, with a banged up O-line, benched starting QB, why in the world is he ranked so high?

I'd love to be that optimistic and start him, considering my other poor RB choices, but what are they seeing that I'm not?

Thanks for your thoughts.....

With so many byes and RBBC situations this week he has to be fairly high. He played decent with Gus at the helm last week. I think he can get 100 total yards and maybe 1TD. The Ravens D is not what it was.

In my main league, I will be starting Wright over Leonard if Lewis is out. However, Leonard could easilty put up top 10-15 RB stats thsi week.

I can't see Leonard being that high also. Ravens are ranked #2 in Rushing Defense yes played weak teams but Rams are in no shape to do better then what Ravens stopped in past 5 weeks. Bench Leonard!

I might not agree with the high rankings, but don't write off Leonard. He seems to be a solid focal point of this offense point...and the Rams have to get some kind of yards, right? Ya, I guess they don't.

That being said, I think if I had to roll with any Ram player Leonard would be my guy.

I have Leonard set to start as a RB2, I definately think he can put up about 60 yards rushing and 50 yards receiving for 110 total yards but I think I'm going to pick up Wright and start him over Leonard since I think Wright can go for about 70-80 yards and a TD.

He'd be the first RB to do it against the Ravens D this year. No RB has more than 80 total yards against the Ravens D thus far. Still, he is a good play.

I wish I had the option of picking up Wright, but he's long gone off my wire.....my RBs are doomed this week.....without turning it into a WDIS....let's just say that it is not an easy choice between my guys.....

S Jax (out)

L Jordan (D)

B Leonard at Balt

E Graham vs. Ten

A Green @ Jax

Dom Rhodes @ SD

F Taylor (Q)

A Peterson (Min) @ Chi

Obviously, I'm starting Peterson, but it's a crap-shoot on my RB2 and flex.....I guess I should be happy I at least have options to play, albeit bad options.....thanks for your thoughts, guys.....here's hoping Leonard lives up to his cheat sheet spot this week.....

FWIW Im starting Leonard over DeAngelo Williams and some WRs at flex this week.

He had a rough 1st game but did better last week. His revieving abilities and that there is no compitition for carries/targets is why.

I dont think there are many teams with clearly better options than Leonard this week with all the byes and injuries.

Had Fatdale over him, but even with a good matchup, I've changed my mind and will go with Leonard. In PPR, Leonard should still get a lot of yards because of his catching ability. Fatdale risks losing carries to Brown, and TDs to Young.

FWIW, I'm also starting Bowe over Fatdale as my flex. :censored:

Thanks, guys...now this is clear as mud..... :lmao:

At least now I know why I'm having so much trouble - seems to be a lot of differing opinions on him....guess we'll find out tomorrow (along with a lot of other unknown RB situations)

:lmao:

You would think I would learn my lesson after 10 years of playing FF.....if your gut tells you a player will stink - LISTEN TO IT!!!

So far, 11 rushing yards and the half is almost over..... :wall:
