I agree. Doubt if he makes it back out.It did not look like he would be coming back either. He threw is glove down while walking and he was in no hurry to get to the locker room.
Let's not be too melodramatic. Looked like a sprained ankle to me.Looked bad....this sucks.
Right ankle is what it looks like. He was a bit off balance hopping over one of his team mates then the right got twisted pretty good when he went to plant it.
oh.Was great news for me to see him go down. Beat the division leader to tie him for the top spot. Big Ben also did not help him this week.
Good to know. Was great news for me to see him go down. Beat the division leader to tie him for the top spot. Big Ben also did not help him this week.

Now THIS is the kind of post I came into the thread to read. Screw Westbrook, how's Hauser's team doing? Was great news for me to see him go down. Beat the division leader to tie him for the top spot. Big Ben also did not help him this week.

Brian Westbrook (ankle) was on crutches in the locker room after Sunday's win over the Steelers.Players are often given crutches as a precaution, so don't read too far into this. The Eagles are currently saying that Westbrook, who's scheduled for an MRI on Monday, has an ankle "strain" after X-rays revealed no break.

Its good that there was no break - that was my #1 fear when I saw it happen because his foot almost went to a 90% angle for a brief second. Hopefully there's no tear and its just a bad strain.Brian Westbrook (ankle) was on crutches in the locker room after Sunday's win over the Steelers.Players are often given crutches as a precaution, so don't read too far into this. I could have saved you 15 minutes...I don't think it'll be anything serious, but I'm just a PT, not HIS PT. Not much in the ankle that could keep him out for a long time unless it were a break or if he tore a ligament (3rd degree sprain). Chances are if it's a 2nd degree sprain he may not suit up for a week or 2. But, in the NFL there's a magical thing called cortisone injections that work wonders on athletes to keep them playing. He limped off the field and was attended to on the sideline before walking to the locker room. He did not return.Incidentally...was poking around for the difference between sprain and strain:A sprain is an injury to a ligament, and a strain is an injury to a muscle or tendon. Strains can occur without a sprain; however, when you have a sprain, you will almost always have a strain.a strain stretches, twists, or otherwise overstresses nerve fibers, tendons, and muscles without doing serious damage; a sprain is more serious, a rupture or tear of a ligament that may take some time to repair itself, often with swelling and temporary loss of use. Each can be painful, but a sprain is likely to be worse.
After he left the field there was a camera shot of him walking through the tunnel and he was limping badly.Edited to add: Hopefully he can shake it off and return next week, but the most important news will be the MRI. You never know what that will show.I can't help but think he'll be fine. He wasn't limping all that badly when he left the field. At the time, I thought he'd get a new tape job and come back. I was honestly surprised when he didn't.
well lucky for me it was more like a 4 second cut n paste job...i get to keep those 15 minutes to waste somewhere elseWarriors Forever said:I could have saved you 15 minutes...I don't think it'll be anything serious, but I'm just a PT, not HIS PT. god I hope not....it didn't look that bad to me. Lots of speculation here in Philly, but There is no Break...no fracture. The MRI will tell us a lot more tomorrow.Looked like a season ending injury to me.![]()
Not a chance. There is no way in hell that they would have let him walk off of the field on his own... and back to the locker room on hiis own, with a season ending ankle injury. I have had bad sprains that healed in 2 weeks, that simply could not be walked on directly afterwards. I am not talking about just pain either... I am talking that it isn't stable enough to walk on. This could be no worse than a strain, or a minor sprain.Looked like a season ending injury to me.![]()
A few years back McNabb finished a game (with 4 TD's) on a (regular) season ending broken ankle.Just sayin...Not a chance. There is no way in hell that they would have let him walk off of the field on his own... and back to the locker room on hiis own, with a season ending ankle injury. And I think it was stated earlier. While I was watching the NFL channel, it showed Westy walking in the tunnel to the locker room, he was limping badly. As a Westy owner I'm worried, all I could think was.................this does look too good.renesauz said:I can't help but think he'll be fine. And still have ten minutes left to make a sandwich and do some research on hauser's matchup for week 4.You could have sex.
