no drinking, just caught a piece of uneven sidewalk, braced for fall on palms. i guess the radius gets all the force and breaks up near the elbow.

brohan i wish you the best and hope you heal up fast so that you can get on the road again take that to the bank bromigo

Is it your primary arm?
It is a radial head fracture of the left arm. looked like only type 1 on xray where i wouldnt need plate or screws, just splint and sling
My daughter just fractured he radial head doing a front flip on a trampoline.

We got this for baths/showers. It is hard to get on, but a life saver for keeping the cast dry:

Oh, snap!

How do you fall running? Pothole? Trying to hurdle a pitbull?

I think getting hit by a car is a cooler story.

Regardless, get better and glad I didn't die.

He's asking if this will affect your :solo dot: production.
it will affect all left hand duties
is norco strong? never took it before

I had the same fracture on my left arm about 8 years ago. Arm just isn't the same. Not sure if I failed to do the exercises enough/properly which had me avoid seeing a PT but any time or do push ups, lift weights, etc. my left arm swells up and sometimes bruises. I was also put in a splint/sling combo for about 3 days.

here's what happened, i'm running on the sidewalk, i made a left turn onto another street. i'm listening to my ipod, same route i run every day. about 100 yards ahead i see a woman on the same sidewalk walking toward me with a dog. i decide to cross to other side. i look over my right shoulder for cars, all clear. i cross the street and get on sidewalk on that side of street. i guess once i got to sidewalk i let my guard down for a sec and didn't see the uneven sidewalk. next thing i know i'm on the ground leaking from above the left eyebrow. thought i'm going to need stitches so start walking towards home, about 10 sec later realize my arm is broke, couldn't move it in any direction

It's been 5 days since the injury and it is hurting much more now than when I broke it. Is this normal?

Technically I broke my elbow (radial head fracture). They say it is important to remove splint asap (after a few days) as to avoid permanent stiffness. My orthopedic opted to treat conservatively and keep in splint for 10 days to make sure the bones get sticky and don't shift. I'm nervous i'll never get the movement back because it'll be immobilized that long. Has anyone ever had this injury and when did you begin your range of motion exercises? and did your elbow ever get back to normal? i have only type one fracture, no surgery needed as long as bone stays in current position.

Broke one whole end off my Radial head. I had to have surgery and two screws to reattach. I think I was in a splint for three weeks after before PT started. My PT was a specialist in hand and elbow injuries. Lots of stretching during sessions with her. Sometimes hurt like a #####. Probably did PT twice a week for three months. Didn't think I would regain full extension, but eventually did. I was demonstrating deadlifts for my son without thinking about the injury and final adhesion broke loose. It's been two years, elbow only bothers me after carrying something heavy for the most part. Edit to add: Actually, it was an occupational therapist that did the stretching exercises. She was way better than the PT.

Thanks for posting. So you re-injured the elbow doing the deadlifts?
