**Broncos at Eagles**(-4,43.5) 1:00 (3 Viewers)

Eagles are about as fluke a 4-0 team as one can be. They are 4-5 plays from being 0-4. This is not a sustainable formula for them. Unfortunately, the Broncos aren't exactly a get right opponent for the offense. The Eagles need to get Hurts going in the pass game, and ideally to AJ, who while he will see some Surtain, I doubt Surtain travels, as obviously Smith is no slouch.

I think Philly gives Bo Nix some fits, and the run game could sputter this week. I really like the under.

I'll say Broncos cover, but this is a game I'd want to stay away from.

Tough matchup for the Eagles rush defense as well as who knows what’s going to happen passing the ball. My guess is the come away with a game plan to target the middle of the field on offense and maybe throw the ball to the WRs?

Defensively should be able to rattle Nix and I’d be surprised if he played a turnover free game.

Another grind it out classic

Eagles 23
Broncos 17

Think the birds uncork the offense this week and Bo Nix and the offense can’t get anything going. I know on paper this is a close (maybe trap) game but i just think this is going to be a route.

Jalen Carter eats.
Cooper with a pick six.
AJ get his but Davonta gets more.

Eagles win 35-20

I don’t know who either of these teams are, yet. Both teams have great Ds, both Os have had their struggles.

If Patullo is smart, the RPOs come back this week and we see a lot of RB passes. Eagles need Lane and Jordan to play well on islands against Denver’s outstanding EDGEs. I’m worried about AJ this week. He’s getting antsy as hell, with good reason. He usually excels agains man coverage, but Surtain is arguably the best CB in the league.

I think DEN is gonna struggle mightily to score points. Their weakness has been the run, but the stats are misleading. They adjust quicker than most teams and clamp down on run fits to close out games. Dobbins can get some yardage early, but they’ll smother him late. Harvey will get tackled for short gains on passes and outside runs.

Bo Nix will have to read SIM and exchange pressures quickly and get the ball out. I don’t think he’s quite there, yet. I see him throwing some bad picks this game.

I think Eagles win a low-scoring affair, 20ish to 13-17.

The media and fan frenzy about how bad the Philky Offense is will continue.

Offense plays more consistent, but against a terrific Denver defense still only puts up 24 or so. More then enough with their own defense owning the broncos. 24-16 Philly

Eagles offense will spit and sputter
It'll be another "boring" game for the home team
And they'll win again...

Pheagles- 26

Broncos- 16

You're better than that thought process. Could you not also then say that the Eagles were 2 plays from absolutely blowing out the Buccs? It works both ways.

That said, I can definitely see Denver winning this game. 20-17 but not sure for who. Under definitely seems like a really good bet today, but who knows.

Sure, if they don't give up the long Egbuka/Irving TDs, but those are less fluky to me than say a blocked FG returned for a TD. My point stands either way I think. If this is what the Eagles want to be, they aren't gonna repeat, or likely even come close. This is a legit bad offense right now, its likely 90% the play calling, which has been Tecmo Bowl level.

The "returned for a TD" part is irrelevant, they would have won with just the block.

Agree the play calling has been totally horrendous. I know you made a big flag plant on Brown this year and are frustrated with the playcalling. I think they get him back going soon though. Maybe not this week though, this game feels like a defensive battle is a lock. Hopefully the OC can figure it out soon!

Think AJ goes off today. The first 4 weeks were mainly zone teams. Denver runs heavy man.

Yeah, but Pat Surtain is elite. Not saying AJ can’t beat him fighting for the ball, but Jalen is not a fan to throwing at him when somebody’s in his hip pocket.

I’d love to see AJ have a monster game and get happy, but I have my doubts it’s today.

Yeah, I think there's going to be too few points scored today, and too much Surtain coverage for the breakout to happen today.

Surtain hasn't really been that good this season, and he doesn't travel. Could see just as much of him on Smith as Brown.

I haven’t watched every Broncos game this year, but he’s looked plenty good to me.

If Vance makes the mistake of putting Riley Moss on AJ, Jalen will dial him up every time.

Surtain will shadow. It all depends on the scheme Vance Joseph draws up for that particular game.

Week 1 Surtain was on Ridley 84% of the time
Week 2 on Pittman 57%
Week 3 on Q. Johnston 86%
Week 4 on Chase "a lot" (Moss on Higgins)

that Egbuka TD was every bit as fluky as the FG block. Two defenders went for the ball and missed it by a fingernail

I get the first choice...disagree but get it.
I don't get the second, Goedert had two TDs last week and is clearly involved

Yeah, I get the criticism and actually expect it more for benching a guy who is no worse than #3 in any expert's ranking while I hvaen't seen Goedert in a top 10 yet.

But I get it. I don't like both Brown and Smith squeaky wheeling it when Goedert's last two games saw him with 6 targets combined. That's a paucity.
