A 3-4 Defense can shut Door on Draft Options
Dan Pompei apparently spent some time in the Browns pre-draft meetings.
Most interestingly he reports that the Browns didn't see Manny Lawson as a fit in the 3-4:
"Among the linemen and linebackers who were downgraded on their board because of their 3-4 scheme were Ernie Sims, Manny Lawson, Tamba Hali, Mathias Kiwanuka and Thomas Howard.
Players who were questionable fits in their front included Victor Adeyanju, Mark Anderson, Elvis Dumervil, Dusty Dvoracek, Chad Greenway, Orien Harris, John McCargo, Frostee Rucker, Kyle Williams and Claude Wroten."
