Take a look at this video of Robert Royal scoring on a pass for the Browns vs the Bengals.
The Browns only used three down linemen:

You might want to freeze it at 00:00-00:01 so you can see the lineup, as it starts up pretty quickly.
Given the flexibility in the rules, it surprises me that more offensive coordinators / coaches don't use this more often. It was obviously effective here. Not all the time, just.... more often, or occasionally.
Before this play this year the Browns had had 9 TD passes, that's nine.
