Last year there were 33 starting pitchers drafted in the first 3 rounds. This year, with 3 picks left in the 3rd there have been 34 starting pitchers drafted. I thought this year had been more pitcher heavy, but it turns out not so much.

i am actually really enjoying drafting hitting earlier this time around. It's a nice change of pace.

Sweet... even though I had Hendricks ahead of Cueto, I likely would have taken the latter had he dropped to me.  Unfortunately, I will have to only take 3 out of the same 4 picks to start this years draft as compared with last:

Yoenis Cespedes OF - My neighbor for a few more days

With Arrietta and Hendricks I feel that's a solid top end of the rotation.  

Getting Eddie E and Yo! at 3 and 4 gives me a solid 3 and 4 spot in the lineup, and two potential MVP candidates. I'll take that after going pitcher-pitcher and hope for as good results as I had last season.

I had him last year and he was solid in the SIM.  I think his second half gains can be sustained over a full season being further away from that ACL repair.  That's my hope anyway.
