This is my biggest misstep in the draft. I can hardly think of any position to need a proper player in a sim than a catcher. I don't want to carry more than two, because I'm going to need 16 pitchers. Getting 161 games out of any 2 of these 8 is a longshot.

If you bat your C in the 8th spot, you'll need about 540 real-life PAs from the Cs on your roster.  If WIS deems a few of your players as AAA eligible, you can rotate a bunch of C through your active lineup.

I happen to be a fan of handcuffing a catcher in this league... if you are "counting" on 400+ PAs from a position and you end up with a third of that, you have a LONG ways to go. At least if you have someone with a legit backup it mitigates the risk to some degree, and perhaps means you don't have to take random flyers on a couple other guys.

That said, you also likely have more catchers play than any other single position (not counting OF) since almost no one plays more than 85% of the games even in a fully healthy season.
