I have no idea who HellToupee is. I’ll give him the benefit of the doubt that he really is just confused to start, not sure why he would intentionally try to sabotage this for no reason. Hopefully he checks in and picks soon.

Jesus h ####### Christ almighty I guess you are the same here as in the political cesspool . I tagged you after RnR picked Trout. I had to be up at 430 today and the one time I go to bed early but so hung around waiting for your pick .

These drafts have been a politics-free oasis on this board for well over a decade. We can lay this stuff to the side for the duration, can't we?

If you read above, I was giving you the benefit of the doubt... but I clearly called your name when I picked, that post saying 1.2

Political differences aside, Ive never been known for shtick, and there appeared legit concern that perhaps we were being f-d with. As I said before, let's hope it was honest confusion, though that seemed a stretch by this AM, wguch you can certainly understand... and assuming that's the case we should be all good from here on.

Now... back to our regularly scheduled draft.

I haven't seen anyone bring it up yet:

@HellToupee, we draft stadiums, too. When we make our second-round picks, we pick a player and a stadium at the same time.

Here's a list of parks from WIS.com -- we have to pick one that's currently in use (e.g. no Ebbets Field, Polo Grounds, original Tiger Stadium, etc.). You can see the park effects at the link.

Ok do we get the stadium our 2nd round pick plays in ? Can multiple people have same stadium?

No, you can pick a stadium completely separate from your second-round player. OK to pick, say, Jose Altuve and Fenway.

No, every drafter has a unique stadium -- multiple drafters cannot have the same stadium.

 
I actually like that twist of second round player picked is the stadium you get. We should add that next year. Or maybe make it 4th round instead.

Intriguing.  Would have to allow multiple teams with the same stadium in this scenario, though, I'd think.

I see what happened: that pick of RnR's that you just quoted ... THAT was a joke pick. He had a running shtick about 'earning' the 1.01 pick after an especially rough season last go-round.

Tobias had the real 1.01, and picked Trout.

No, you wouldn't be allowed to take a player from that team once someone else did. That's why I suggested 4th round, so as to even out the "oh ####, player X fell to me but I can't take him now cause player Y from same team was already taken this round".

this is the sort of rule change leagues do when they're bored. then they change it back the following year, becuase it didn't really work/make sense.

 
I was a little worried when I logged on and I was three pages behind. Glad to see Shtick is already in mid draft form.

 
Last year I took Trevor Story in the 2nd round. He was a huge bust. If picking him would've saddled me with Coors there's no way I would have done it. So I'm in favor of this rule as it could save me from my own stupidity.
