To say my pitching last sim was a disaster would be an understatement. Not happening this time, even if I have to go full SCBF mode and never score.

No, you wouldn't be allowed to take a player from that team once someone else did. That's why I suggested 4th round, so as to even out the "oh ####, player X fell to me but I can't take him now cause player Y from same team was already taken this round".
even so, I'd hate to not get a pick at 4.02 because his stadium was gone.I like the concept, but I think maybe round 20 would be more fitting

Last year I took Trevor Story in the 2nd round. He was a huge bust. If picking him would've saddled me with Coors there's no way I would have done it. So I'm in favor of this rule as it could save me from my own stupidity.
I think you may be stupider than you're giving yourself credit

Some of you guys still have my number, right? I doubt I'll remain in this scintillating thread much today

pff

Kluber last year had better SO/W, FIP, HR9, BB/9, WHIP, ERA+, IP, ERA
He could be "argued" top overall and it's hardly out of the realm of possibility that he ends up as such. But not quite the resume of the other two guys just yet.

Great value there though, I though pitchers could easily go 4 of first 5 picks

I was definitely going pitcher. In the scary world of SP, there's 4 names you can trust and I wanted one of them.

1.11 Madison Bumgarner SP SF

Abiut 5 guys I have bunched up here. Grabbing MadBum because he has the best track record of health and consistency of the group. He might not win the Cy Young award in the sim, but he usually gives you a good solid year. I think that’s important early on. Losing one of your high starting pitching picks to injury or poor performance really makes you have to scramble.

I think there's a SP drop off after Bum.  The BPAs now are 1B/OF types which can be more easily filled in WIS by committee.  So I've talked myself into:

1.12 Kris Bryant  3B

I was afraid of being :lmao:  for taking Chris Sale at 4 especially after the kerfuffle

NV might not be able to pick until Saturday based on his earlier post about his work retreat thing, just a heads up.
