BTTF 2018: MLB123746 (2 Viewers)

32.24: Brett Phillips, OF, MIL

33.1: Geovany Soto, C, CHW(?)

The search for catcher depth at this point takes you to a dark, dark place.

It was a worthy delay as was handling an emergency to guide my instacart Liquor delivery person into the building and then handle the transaction. Should be good now with 2 bourbon, a gin, some Tawny Port, Beer, Pear Cider and even some Baileys for weekend coffee.

Who needs a car in Dallas? (especially on a 37 degree thunderstormy craphole of a day)
Drinking doubles don’t make a party

Lind has been my best bet on the board a good long time - I know he's likely 1B, and a platoon at that in most places he's likely to land, but what am I missing in terms of a legit chance for 300+ PAs of .350-.375 OBP and .450-475 SLG at this point?

Not sure anyone will sign him.

Pedro Alvarez had a similar profile last year and got 34 PAs.

Honestly didn't know he was still playing.

In everything I've read, he's one of the FAs talked about for a number of options - and Alvarez wasn't a FA, was he? You'd assume there will be SOMEone with a need for a bat - 1B, PH, maybe even OF in a pinch - and if he signs there, it would signal a need.

Alvarez was with the O's, on a team with established overpriced ####ty 1B and young and upcoming 1B who had to play OF because of it.

Obviously if I felt he was some great player I'd have picked him before round 33, but seems a better shot than most rookies / breakout candidates who've yet to prove they can even hack it in the majors.

He was.

November 3, 2016: Granted Free Agency.

March 13, 2017: Signed as a Free Agent with the Baltimore Orioles.

I stand corrected.

I'll take the over.  :oldunsure:
Lind worth the gamble at this point, but just not that many spots for a guy like him anymore.  Shoot, LoMo is a better player and he hasn't signed anywhere.  Mark Reynolds still out there (RH, but similar profile).

I was thinking Lomo, but is he really THAT much better (assuming regression from last year). I guess most seem to think so.

Plus, as you mentioned, it's a decent gamble at this point, and most picks would be if you want any legit chance for upside / significant playing time even.

Oh, probably should not spotlight players?

NM - Didnt see that Mark Reynolds was taken.

Not saying it's a bad pick, just for whatever reason I didn't think he was still playing, he had a solid year last season.

Like Bellinger last year? ;)

Better shot than MOST, gb.

Also upside of all but a couple, this late.  But yes, there will be some lottery tickets for those smart and lucky enough.
