Bucs' TE Stevens Claims To Have Cleaned Up His Act (1 Viewer)

I'd like to hear from Seattle fans. Is Jeremy Stevens a turd or just a guy that's make some mistakes?

He said all the right things in this article now that he's with the Bucs, but I don't know. What do you guys think? If he stays out of trouble, Stevens could be a steal for the Bucs.

They always claim to have cleaned up their act. Their words are absolutely meaningless. Ricky Williams, Koren Robinson, Onterrio Smith, PacMan Jones, Chris Henry, all of them. Once in awhile someone will get it figured out and learn from his mistakes, but most just continue down the path to the premature end of their careers. The only proof is time.

He'll be lucky to make the final cuts. Seriously.Another waste of talent.
Help me understand your position Jeff...Do you think he doesnt have the talent anymore, that he will get in trouble between now and the opener, or that TB will cut him out of fear of further offenses?Of course Im not taking Stevens' proclamations to mean anything. Time will definitely tell, I just dont see TB cutting him if hes clean through the summer.

:goodposting: ACTION >>> words.

I would say that he's finally got a handle on his life, but he's probably going to drop it anyway.

Jon Gruden loves those TEs almost as he loves the QBs. I'm almost surprised that Stevens found a team willing to sign him. Shouldn't he be looking at a suspension anyways?

He says this every year...no joke or exagerration.
It's true. And he did during the SB year. Had the best year of his career as a result. Since the start of the SB though he's fallen steadily. Drinking was a big problem for him early on (college too) and this arrest was the first I've heard of him drinking for several years. But one good year among 5 and the booze back, I'd say he's a non factor. I stuck up for him and Robinson too many times to expect anything better than mediocrity. It's really a shame that he has the only SB TD in Seahawks' history.
