Buffalo at Baltimore game thread (1 Viewer)

Nathan Peterman career starts:

6/14 for 66 yards 0 TD 5 INT
5/10 for 57 yards 1 TD 0 INT
4/13 for 25 yards 0 TD 1 INT*
*In progress

Let's hope he gets to play in the second half as the Ravens protect that lead and run that clock down.
Yeah, I had high hopes for Collins today.  With the fumble and the score completely out of hand he may not play again in the second half - there's no cost to the Ravens for punishing him hard now.

The Ravens play calling shocked me - the opening drive was all throwing, and at half time they have 32 passes versus 11 rushes, and 2 of those are by Flacco.

True, but he could also get some carries and another fumble won't hurt the team much. I know, I know. Wishful thinking.

You mean Buffalo actually showed up?

 I can't tell.

:lmao:

I'm so shocked that a punter who has never punted in the NFL and never even punted in the preseason just biffed it and fumbled it away.

Honestly, I don't really even think this is a case of the Bills not showing up....I think this is just kinda what the Bills are going to be this season.  They're really, really bad.  I read an article a week or two ago making the case that they're on-paper the worst team in the NFL.  They sure look like it today.

Alex Collins got a carry and a catch on the first drive. In fact, the first two plays of their first drive.

Yeah, this offense is almost hopeless.  You lost your 3 best offensive linemen.  KB is the only quality receiver we have.  Shady is still a quality RB, but there is no blocking in front of him.  Plus Nathan Peterson might have a future as a quality backup, but he's never going to scare anybody no matter what weapons you put around him

But last year we at least had a secondary - 3 passing TD's to Joe Flacco?

The #2 CB spot was a bit shaky, then their nickle CB got hurt, plus they've been on the field pretty much the entire game.

My fantasy opponent drafted the Ravens DST two spots before I was going to take them.  I felt pretty good picking up the Saints DST - not so much now

I kinda figured Josh Allen would be starting by the end of November, but he might be starting by the end of September.

Anyone still carrying Peterman on their fantasy rosters should be racing to cut him in hopes that a desperate opponent might actually play him...

With 11:22 left in the third, the Ravens have 40 points and the Bills have 46 total yards.  The Ravens have 18 first downs, and the Bills have 12 passing yards.

Hard to figure out if Baltimore has just been extremely underrated or if Buffalo is just hot garbage.  I thought all off season that the demise of Flacco was being over predicted.  He looks good.

Why? They're getting killed. They have no shot at winning. There is zero pressure at this point. Get him some snaps.
Because the Ravens will be 100% pass rush mode and he may get killed.  That's why I didn't want to trade McCarron - I want at least two other QB's to get injured first before Allen has to go in.
