Build a FRANCHISE draft year 2 (2 Viewers)

Nice stream of picks came in...Aldon Smith and Von Miller are both very interesting players. I considered both for my #24 pick, but felt they were too risky to be a first rounder. However, if they can get back to 2012 form, both would be big steals where they went.

Picking at the turn was harder than I thought. Was hoping Suh would fall (partly because he's on my team) but Atkins is a fine consolation prize.

Took the ELITE Joe Flacco as one of the last QBs I felt comfortable with. There are a few others who will be okay, but the chances of them falling to my next pick are slim.

Probably the two key positions in the NFL, so I'm happy with my start. Really hoping the 3rd guy I almost took falls to my other team.

I pretty much know where I'm going with the top rookie pick (although I really have two guys I like a lot there, and you might be wrong as to which I take).

I like the Flacco pick a lot there...considering he went 6th last year, that's some major value! And Atkins is a great player to build a D around

I figured it was very unlikely but with his acl tear I was hoping Miller would sneak by and I could pair them both together, would have been interesting, although it obviously would've forced me to run a 34, now I guess I can have some flexibility with Smith being a DE in college. Initially I thought I would get a corner for sure at 29, then this was my plan, now not sure. Don't think its ever going to be easy with this draft lol.

So many options. I'm just trying to find value and core players. Scheme will come later.

Thanks. His true value is somewhere between 6 overall and #33. Much closer to 33 imo

I'd prefer Flacco and Rivers to Tannehill and Dalton who went before them.

I actually had Rivers solidly over all 3.
I did as well. I actually had Rivers closer to Ryan and Stafford than Dalton and Tannehill, so I'm very happy to have him. That being said, with the run on defenders early I think all the QBs recently taken were good value.

In a dynasty ff league, I'd take tanny and dalton but when putting a team like this together, I'd agree and take the older proven guys.

Wow multiple qbs I had first round grades on made it to round 2. I like the Rivers and Tannehill picks. I thought both were mid first round players.

I was really hoping for Rivers to fall all the way to 31, unfortunately that wasn't the case. Still, I'm super happy to be able to grab 2 pass rushing nightmares at 31 and 34

Glad to see the agreement on Rivers. I actually had him ranked around 15 overall on my board. I think he's still a top level QB and I had him just after Matt Ryan.

As I stated earlier, I feel like it's incredible value at end of first round.

Now that Ive made both my picks I feel like Im going to have to wait forever to pick again ha just want to keep picking! Cant imagine how long itll feel to watch 60+ go off the board in between picks after the third round.

That's a reason i suggested auction.

I think the two dt route forces you to spend two or three more early picks on edge rushers and a good linebacker anchor. I think it reduces flexibility but creates a nasty advantage.

AJ Green is a steal at this point. Pairing him with Rivers is a great start to the draft for Chicago, they're very lucky to land both of those guys where they did.

The Gronk pick was interesting. If he came with a guarantee to stay healthy he would definitely worth a pick there, but I think it's too early for him with all of his injury issues

Dying to make a pick. Nervous as #### tho
I know how you feel...2 picks away from my next pick and there's one guy I've been really hoping for, very surprised that he hasn't been picked yet. The suspense is killing me

What team are you egoo?

I may be taking your guy. I'm one pick away and have 2 people predrafted so I'm glad I am guaranteed one of them.

I'm the Giants. I'm assuming one of you or the Seahawks will take him...but then again, it's also possible I'm entirely overvaluing him and nobody else is looking at him at this point.

Lol, Maybe it will be better if Instinctive takes him so he can get punched through the computer

Hahaha. Some very interesting trends already compared to last year.

Decided to go against the DT run and draft a young stud LT.
You would have made my pick easy - I had Williams and Campbell queued up and kept switching back and forth between them. Finally decided on Campbell but I would have saved so much angst by just waiting for you to pick!!! Haha.

I was quite surprised this is the 1st OL as far as timing. Late.

Re: Calais Campbell

Dude is a beast. Allows me to remain flexible on scheme still, which is important to my "draft for value and worry about scheme later" philosophy. Consistently a top 5 or 6 DE and a HUGE part of Zona's defensive dominance this year.

Thrilled to get my guy Wilkerson here. He's great at creating pressure on the QB, as well as a force against the run. I also believe he has the versatility to play both 3-4 DE as well as 4-3 DT.

I love the start to my D so far, I have one of the top few young D-linemen in the league in addition to one of the top young corners out there. Plus everyone knows the key to dominance is drafting Jets and Browns players :bag:

I like Bowman a lot, but that injury was downright scary. Sounds like his prognosis is better than I expected.

Hope for the best - while I'm not a 49er fan by any means, he seems to be one of the good guys.

I very nearly went Wilkerson over Dareus and for a while had decided I would in fact go Wilkerson. I like the versatility you stated but ultimately went with the guy who could be a 3-4 NT if that's needed. Hope I don't end up regretting the decision too much.

Wow, Falcons have Suh and Dontari Poe. That's...scary
Considered going the two stud DT route, with either casey or poe, but while that can make for a tough D, it can leave you weak elsewhere.
I can see that argument, I guess my thinking was that can't be elite at every position so I went with the position that I felt was able to impact the game the most. Obviously not including QB as I would have taken Tannehill or RIvers had they fallen to me.

Was wondering when Graham would go. Highly considered taking him at 2.01 and he wouldn't have made it past 2.19

I was shocked Graham made it to me in the second. I'd have preferred Calvin or AJ Green but outside of them Graham was my top ranked receiver/tight end.

Cutler to Calvin would be exciting. I had a first round grade on Cutler. If I knew he'd have been available in the second, I would have strongly consider passing on Brady.

With his Second Pick, The Fly Selects:

Chandler Jones, DE

With Kuechly and Jones 1/2, I have a 22 and 23yr old that have combined for 235 tackles, 13.5 sacks, this season alone

Hope ya'll have solid insurance plans for your QBs

Yeah thanks. I was a little surprised to see Cutler fall after some of the other guys out there. I feel like Cutler is a risk taker, but is athletically gifted. Any risky throws he sends to Megatron should be catchable.

Some interesting last few picks.. Hard to gauge who is gonna go where without knowing anyone
Most of the picks before mine weren't on my personal short list, but are all roughly in the same tier, no real reaches IMO.

Packers - you realize this isn't FF, right? ;)

j/k, Gordon was #2 on my list.
