Marc Bulger, top three quarterback before the season began, is no longer the starter in St. Louis. According to this source, Gus Frerotte will take over as quarterback while Bulger gets a chance to let his broken ribs heal. In related news from the same source, the Rams are demoting their offensive coordinator and head coach Scott Linehan will be assuming that role.

Pretty shocking stuff from a team that was expected to sport an elite offense. The loss of Orlando Pace and Steven Jackson has hurt greatly, but the team wasn't looking good when they were healthy. Steven Jackson will be back eventually, although that time table is a little murky.

There are tons of fantasy implications here. The highlights being:

Gus Frerotte: He inherits an offense that has scored only two touchdowns through four games. Even in a good match up, its hard to get excited about him. If Bulger was struggling this bad, Frerotte is unlikely to succeed. Let someone else pick him up; there has to be a better option available to replace Bulger in your lineup.

Marc Bulger: The Rams have a Week Nine bye and it wouldn't be surprising to see him on ice until the following week. The Rams have nothing to play for and they just paid Bulger big bucks in a long term contract. There is no reason to risk his health behind a horrible offensive line until he is 100% healthy. You can't drop him in case he comes back earlier or the Rams begin showing some signs of life, but it is time to look for a new starter.

Steven Jackson/Brian Leonard: The Rams running game has been abysmal and this news won't help. Whoever is starting is still worth consideration as a #3 RB/Flex play, but not much more. in dynasty leagues it may be interesting to see if you can pick Jackson up cheap.

Torry Holt: He is easily the most talented Rams receiver and the coaching staff knows this. Of course, he still isn't fully healthy and his lack of burst is making it harder to get separation from defensive backs. It can't get much worse for Holt. Hopefully the change in coordinators benefits him. Wait and see.

WOW I did not see this coming. Any word on Cadillac's knee injury yet?
:( Seriously, give the guy a break. Were all humans here and we make mistakes. I dont see why everytime there is a Honda, posters either have to be a complete ### about it instead of simplely informing them of their mistake. Baffles me everytime.

The immaturity on this board is at an all-time high.
