Bump up ADP this week? (1 Viewer)

According to FOXSports.com insider John Czarnecki, rookie Adrian Peterson will see more action than Chester Taylor, who was involved in a fight with teammate Erasmus James this week, in today's game against the Bears.

Seems like it would be the wise move -- Peterson clearly poses a greater big-play threat for the Vikes.

That said, it would be surprising if head coach Brad Childress totally bailed on Taylor, who does have qualities -- especially his ability to run between the tackle -- that Childress values.

For what it's worth. ... Profootballtalk.com editor Mike Florio noted this week's battle wasn't the first fight between Taylor and a teammate. According to Florio, Taylor and former Ravens tackle Orlando "Zeus" Brown got into brawl the night before a game in 2004.

Taylor was apparently bragging about his relationship with one of Brown's friends. Brown suggested that Taylor knock it off, and Taylor opted to run his mouth at the oversized lineman.

The jawing between the two of them continued and a fight broke loose.

And as Florio further noted, the chair seems to be Taylor's weapon of choice. Just as he reportedly threw a chair at James earlier this week, a source told Florio that Taylor threw a chair at Brown.

Taylor had a reputation for being erratic and unpredictable in Baltimore, and it's apparently one of the reasons that the team didn't try to re-sign him when he qualified for unrestricted free agency.

"Taylor's crazy," a source told Florio. "He's a talented guy, but he's. ... Real mouthy."

As a Vikes fan.. I sure hope this is correct...

Perhaps this is the reason (errr, excuse) coach needed to get the rook ahead of the vet (not that one should be needed outside of player that will most help you win)

I don't think the "scuffle" will impact the way Childress distributes carries this week. What is more important, IMHO, is that T. Jackson is expected to start at QB meaning CHI D will have an easier time to commit to stopping the run.....ESPN just stated, "Don't expect ADP to have a big day"

Kinda like all the experts said when ADP faced Green Bay? He had what 100+ yards at halftime?Start ADP every week with confidence. Solid RB2 with RB1 upside.

I think, as with Vick in ATL an V.Y. in TEN, a QB that is a threat to run makes it easier on a RB because backside pursuit has to respect the QB, or a spy is dedicated to him making one less guy to commit to the RB.
