Buy High / Sell Low (1 Viewer)

This is the only way people will trade in my league. No one wants to be duped. They'd rather lose the season than give away a potential stud who will blow up in their face.

So that in mind... who are you targeting to go after or get rid of this week?

Randy Moss is a great buy low. 2007 we're looking at a new coach with a real offense, or a new team. Brady Quinn to Moss 2k7.

DeShaun Foster can be had for a song now and should have a good week #7 but then will face difficult matchups in weeks 14, 15 and 16 so if you can get rid of him after this week you might get his highest value.

NYJ RB Leon Washington outplayed Barlow this week YPC and I'd expect him to see a larger % of the NYJ carries going forward. Additionally, he just played a difficult run DEF opponent in week 6 and his schedule gets easier from here. Not a good playoff option due to his matchups but he might be able to get you there.

People are still not noticing Mark Clayton. Get him if you can.
His stats are a bit deceiving as both of his TDs were deflections that weren't thrown to him. Also his immediate success seems to tie into whether or not Boller is starting as Boller seemed to have a rhythm with him that McNair doesn't have.

I own TO in one of my leagues and will test the waters this week to see if anyone is going to bite after his 3TD performance. His schedule is pretty nice though, and the team should be in the hunt all year for a playoff spot. If you think he'll still be on the field every week keep him. If not, look to move him.

His 62 yarder was a deflection as well?
Yes it was deflected at the line of scrimmage

Is Branch a sell high after his 2TD performance? Or do you think this is just the beginning?
I came in here to ask the same question.
How many times will Branch post 2 TDs when Shaun comes back into the lineup? I mean you want him for the next couple of weeks but I would consider trading him after week 8. You probably have not used him most of the year so you might have some good depth already.

im buying low on clayton/galloway

gradkowski seems like he has some idea of how to play the position, both are talented, and each has caught a td from him.

galloway first, clayton second.

And shouldn't the title be "buy LOW/sell HIGH?"
In fact no. That's my point in my league (which I suspect is like many others) where the owners don't want to be suckers and will keep their poor-performing players so as to prevent them from doing well on another team.I've put out many feelers to people regarding Dunn, T. Bell, and Foster... Everyone seems to have a reason NOT to want these guys...So in these type of leagues, you have to sell low (hoping they stay low) and buy high (hoping they stay high).Foster might be a sell low type IMO, and Dunn might be a buy high, but I dunno.

Now I get it. OK, I'm dumb. As strange as this might seem I wonder what it would take to acquire LT2. He is coming off a monster game and the owner might be afraid he blew his wad against a weak D. He might be someone to buy high. Then again, I own him so I won't be going after him or selling him.

Last week was the last opportunity to pry LT away from the LT owner IMO. I would have considered it for good return, now there is no way I will unless he comes down with the plague.

Buy High: Torry HoltSell Low: Chad Johnson
This is what I'm talking about. I think Torry Holt will continue to put up good numbers as SJax continues to open up the passing game a bit more and old man Ike keeps winding down. Holt is a playmaker, plain and simple.Chad Johnson is a mixed bag IMO since I think he'll have a few big games coming up. He's got too much talent and opportunity not to. On the other hand I think Housh is a "sell high", meaning he's gonna come down a bit... but in my league people wouldn't even offer me Brett Favre for him.

Yeah, I'm in a league like that also, one where "name recognition" carries a lot of weight. I tried to get Chad Johnson 3 weeks ago from an owner, and in retrospect I'm very glad he didn't go for it.Holt is a buy high on the number of targets he gets, especially in the Red Zone. Doesn't seem to matter who they play, Holt gets his. But this borders on "this just in, Torry Holt is good".

Buy high - S Jax and S Smith - I like both to be strong the rest of the year

Sell Low - Jamal Lewis (can it go any lower) and CJ (too many options)
