The Roddy White owner in my league just offered me Roddy White for Johnny Knox straight up! I was reading these forums and saw another owner gave up T. Choice for White. Moral of the story: Go grab a free agent and trade him for White! :pickle:

Any Falcons fans want to give their perspective? Are they just not looking his way? Is he coasting ever since he held out and got his 49 mill?

Week one Ryan missed White on one TD where White was OPEN. White had the DB beat by 5 yards and the ball was under thrown and off by about 5 yards to the inside of the field. He was missed on another deep ball though I can't remember off hand if it was a gimme TD like the one I just described.I was a little concerned in the NE game where BB admittedly doubled up Tony Gonzalez swearing to take him out of the game in which they did. If they took him out of the game, why was White not open more often? I'm guessing BB threw some strange coverages that Ryan didn't recognize and missing the man coverage. Although after a few quarters of football, you'd think someone on the Falcons coaching staff would have recognized it.I really think/hope White will start producing as both a White owner and a Falcons fan.

I made a move for the guy and was told I insulted him. So not all owners are dumping him.
This "insulting offer" was me giving Schaub and Cribbs (he's top 15 in our return yardage league) or Moreno for Roddy. This owner has Gore and Matt Ryan. I felt I was significantly upgrading his qb position but he got quite short tempered with me and told me that was a garbage offer. :lmao:

I'm a Roddy owner, and getting a little impatient. The Falcons schedule is brutal, and Ryan is looking for Gonzo more than Roddy. Plus you have the Mike Turner factor.

Thinking about offering Ray Rice and Roddy to another owner for Brandon Jacobs and Wes Welker?

Gotta start somewhere - and I've seen much worse starting offers.

Anyone getting "insulted" or feeling "disrespected" by a FF offer...please stop.
Even after you explicitly state that you are unwilling trade player X yet you still get offers with him included? That's definitely on the verge of insulting for me.

Well the Roddy owner in my keeper last year said Roddy was off the market, same was said at the start of this year. He has however changed his tune due to the past weeks and Roddy is available for trade. Fantasy football is a strange game sometimes.

Dude, not in my league. I joined a league this year and I think they are trying to test the new guy. Yesterday the guy offered me Roddy for Deangelo Williams and got ticked off when I turned him down.

He's not insulting you with an offer like that. However, he is questioning your manhood. The only way to respond is with an even more outlandish offer sent in a pink envelope. At least that's how it's handled in Britain when someone offers a midfielder for a goalie or something crazy like that.

No kidding.
I agree w/ this 99% of the time, but what if someone offered you Ted Ginn for Ronnie Brown, which you politely decline, then they counter offer w/ Michael Crabtree for R. Brown in a redraft..... (and I once again politely declined).
Not insulted personally, I'd just think he was an idiot, I think he's insulted his own intelligence...redraft or not.

Are people pretty convinced that Roddy is going to get back to last year's level of performance? I'm thinking about offering Dwayne Bowe, but I'm not even sure that would be a good deal, because I don't really trust Roddy to return to dominance.

I don't follow the Falcons that closely. It seems clear that Gonzo has taken some of Matt Ryan's attention. Roddy may also have gotten complacent now that he has his money. Are there other factors at play?

I live in Atlanta and listen to local sports talk for the most part. There has been little mention of his lack of performance, maybe that's because they started off 2-1. I was a little surprised not to hear some talk after the Pats game. Turner's less than stellar start has gotten more attention locally. I am a little concerned as mentioned earlier but do still feel things will turn around for him.My thinking is, if Turner can break a couple big runs off as he did last year, things will open up down field. I can't imagine they can keep Turner, White, and Gonzalez out of the end zone forever.

You need to rethink your position because it is borderline moronic to tell people player x is unavailable. Maybe, a deal for x needs to wow me but simply shutting down opportunity to improve is a bad move.i.e. I wouldn't normally trade AD, but if I was offered MJD/Brees/Jacobs I'd probably do it.ETA: normally

I don't think this is a ridiculous offer at all.

The Roddy White owner in my league is looking to sell...but only if he is able to get receivers back right now. He is in bye week hell and has Dwayne Bowe to deal with.

As a barometer, this is a PPR league, and he was talking about wanting Braylon Edwards and Nate Burleson for him potentially.

So some owners are selling at a discount.

Last week I picked up Sims-Walker and Manningham after his big game. The Roddy White owner then texted me saying "DAMN! thos are the guys I wanted!" So I knew he wanted them so offered Manningham and Sims-Walker for Roddy & Choice. I already had R.Moss and Colston as my top 2 WRs. Roddy is now my #3.

jenkins was open deep several times, so i think bb was determined to to take both gonzo and white out of it. these things happen with receivers, but white is still being targeted a decent amount--so don't sweat it just yet

I got offered White for Choice and took it gladly. In fairness other owner is kind of an idiot and has NFC East goggles as a Giant fan. More to the point (at least in non-PPR) White is a great buy low candidate. He didn't forget how to play and he's still getting targets (26), so Gonzo not hurting too much on targets and the more weapons in the passing game the more open he should get. Worst come to worst and he has an off year and you get a WR2 (down from WR1) dirt cheap.

Jacobs is better than Rice bareley in PPR and Welker is just flat out NOT better than White in any facet of the game. Nice try.

The guy should pull that offer immediately since the news on Welker isnt promising.

I offered Westbrook + Housh for White + Bradshaw, and this was the dude's counter. I wouldn't do that deal even if White was performing at top 5 levels.

Code:
White targets: 10 10 6Gonzalez targets:	9 7 2
Nicely played - hence the red in my sig. :D

Typical Guppy League move.I tried to pry White away low and was to to GFM.

With the slow start and bye week I thought it was the perfect time to target him. So I offered Addai and Santana Moss for White to the owner that just lost Gore and was told where to go. Sometimes I just don't get people. Makes me wonder if the guy even knows Gore is hurt!

FWIW, just a cut a deal where I sent White and McNabb for Schaub and KSmith. Yes, I'm in Atlanta, but the deal was to a Bears homer. I think I did pretty good.

I have white. I'm 1-2 and starting to panic. Not sure I can trust white at this point. Is it time to cut bait so early? I was offered Ochocinco and Coffe for him. I have Gore so Coffe would help me out. Ocho has burned me in the past but he seems to be more steady this year. I could possibly swing Smith (Panthers) instead of Ocho but the Panther are stinking it up. Do you guys think White will play up to form this year? Notice how I subtly asked for trade advice without asking for trade advice?

I have White and I'd trade him straight up for Matt Ryan, plus I'd throw in a QB with a broken rib as a freebie.

I won't answer Chumley's question directly, but I will say Steve Smith is getting targets by the boatloads. Few other wr's get that kind of love...and targets = production.

Offered either M. Bush or R. Bush + Harvin for White and was told to put my head into a tight hole. He countered with White for CJ3

And he's 0 -3! What's wrong with these people?

Smith is almost leading the league in targest (37) but he just isn't catching them. He's catching about 40% of the balls thrown his way. I think that is the worst in the league at least when you consider startable or flex type guys. I believe Smith is still a top wr. Something has gone terribly wrong and I'm not sure if it is him or the qb or both. I guess the question is will they right the ship? In comparison White and Ocho have roughly the same catches with many fewer targets. So what is more important, targets or catches? I suspect in the long run the catches will catch up with the targets for smith. But I've been wrong before.

Probably the fact that you offered him such a terrible trade and then seem to get offended when he comes back with an outlandish offer of his own?
