Buying low on Shonn Greene (1 Viewer)

The thing to note here is that I like most people thought he was way overrated in the preseason. 1st or 2nd round pick for an unproven rookie with a proven, highly paid veteran coming in just didn't make any sense. I could see 4th or 5th round but 2nd was just too high. With that said, grabbing him off the WW or trading with a discouraged owner for peanuts is worth the shot. If LT gets injured or Jets start going to him more like they did last year down the stretch then you've been repaid right there.

Citing a member of the Jets' front office, NFL Network's Jason La Canfora reports that the team is targeting a 50:50 timeshare between Shonn Greene and LaDainian Tomlinson for the season's second half.

Coach Rex Ryan confirmed Thursday that he's looking for a balanced distribution of carries between LaDainian Tomlinson and Shonn Greene going forward.

Ryan indicated that Tomlinson's day off Wednesday had been planned all along to give him rest. Tomlinson didn't do much in Thursday's practice, either, and that will be the plan from now on. Ryan praised Greene's performance against the Lions and said he'd love for each back to have 25 carries per game the rest of the way.

I am liking Greene as the winds of November turn gloomy and the cold weather sets in.

LT has that thin California blood and will have a nice warm parka on in the second half of games.
