Call me paranoid (1 Viewer)

I know DeSean Jackson once had a couple big games last year with Kolb, but that was before he voiced his support of Michael Vick. You think Kolb holds a grudge? That's two clunkers in a row for Jackson since Kolb replaced Vick due to injury. Jackson owners can't have Vick back soon enough. They were clicking pretty good before Vick's injury.

DJax got injured during the third and didn't return didn't he?

Or was I just dreaming?

Yeah, you're right - Kolb is ignoring his best WR because of a grudge. He knows he can since he's definitely the starting quarterback and does not have to play his ### off to earn his job back.

Crap like this is destroying the Shark Pool.

I won't call you paranoid but I can think of many other derogatory names to call you for being this stupid. :wall:

No need for personal attacks. I did begin the thread with "Call me paranoid", so there's a good chance I don't even believe what I posted. Just making an unusual observation. He doesn't seem to be targeting Jackson much in the last two games.

Jackson commands more attention than Maclin. Kolb won't force the ball to him if there are safer options. A big part of the problem is the dogsheet offensive line that has been cobbled together; not enough time for long developing routes. Kolb could have worn Justin Smith as a suit once Dunlap came off the bench. I guess there really are worse options than an appathetic Jason Peters.

LOL, wow guy this is destroyin the Shark Pool? Not quite, your irrational thought to seeing it as a possiblity is destroying the SP.Its never happened before huh? Football players are not human and they dont deal with the everyday stuff us common folk deal with, like personality conflicts and emotions.

A grudge? Maybe not that, but maybe Kolb does not trust him as much as Celek or Maclin. Or maybe Djax was only good cuz he cant get open and he needs a scrambling qb to make the coverage bite. A la McNabb and Vick....hmmmm. But maybe this post just destroyed the SP a lil more, sorry bout that.

Both of these answers have merit. As Maclin continues to assert himself as a top flight WR, the coverages will loosen a little on Jackson. But realism has to be kept...Jackson is not the type of WR who's gonna catch 100 passes. He's a fast as heck big play guy who will have a few clunkers togo with a few 160 yard, 2 TD days.Nothing to see here. You want consistancy...go with Maclin. You want flash....Jackson's your man.

Hoss, don't take it personal...a lot of people on here, never know whos posting. A kid, an uneducated person, someone with a mental issue, you never know. So dont take the posts persoanl as most people who type on here are passionate, as they should be.Also, the thread is clearly titled, and in my mental capacity, knew it was just a discussion thread about an opinion. But you never know, maybe your the one person in the world not allowed to have one, or maybe it was a person hoping to get more information about the injury thrown season they are having.... like myself, lol

Desean is a long route runner and needs 3-4 for his route to develop and him to be in place. The "offensive line" combined with Kolb's apparent (to me) antsiness in the pocket lead to him dishing the ball out after 1.5 seconds. Thats all there is to it. When you have 7'-0" turds like King Dunlap letting in everyone that he guarding against, you can't blame Kolb for wanting to get rid of the ball quickly. That effectivley removes Desean from 90% of the plays.

I haven't watched many Philly games this year. How many of Jackson's big plays with Vick came after a scramble and how much of his production came when Vick just dropped back into a normal 5 step drop and threw the ball?

Jackson seems like the kind of guy who can really make stuff happen when the play breaks down and it's a free for all, which obviously is going to happen a lot more often with Vick back there.

Jackson was doubled for a lot of the game. Perhaps that won't be the case quite so often after Maclin's big game.

And indeed, with a line as porous as this one, a deep threat like Jackson is going to see more balls from a QB who extends plays with his legs (Vick) than a QB who can't do that and has to get rid of the ball quickly (Kolb).

One thing was clear to me watching the game last night -- Jackson is almost never Kolb's primary read.

Kolb's eyes were focused on someone else on practically every dropback.

As a Jackson owner I was definitely discouraged by that.

He is an Iggles fan after all.

Kolb an DJax are good friends, Kev knows what he has as a weapon in him. He talks regularly about how sick of an athlete he is. He even trys to go to him when DJAX starts feeling a little "unloved" in the huddle. But what he cant do is what many flip flopping fans accuse him of and that is force him the ball. I dont get it- If he forces the ball to DJ, then everyone hollars that he is not watching the whole field but locking in on a guy in heavy cover; If he goes to someone else, then he doesnt like DJ because he didnt support him during the Vick/Kolb fiasco. What a bunch of crap...

If everyone knew the truth about how DJ felt about Kolb, you wouldn't even bother to start this thread. Eagle fans are so fickle. (Just like in Big D lol)

If you come back after your week off, be way cooler.J

Wow. No need for the abuse here. Folks gripe about the Shark Pool quality. Do we actually think abusing each other improves quality?

The OP might be wrong, but it certainly is not off base to think a QB would favor players over someone who has not been supportive of the QB.
