Not every act I'd like to share came out in one particular year, nor do some of these albums warrant best album nominations, so I wasn't entirely sure where to put it. Nonetheless, there are sometimes groups of various styles I think are pretty great and worth sharing with others. Hope some of you enjoy whenever I throw out some occasional links.
Fantastic Negrito has been gaining traction in Oakland, Ca, for awhile now. He tried getting his start as sort of a version of Prince many years ago. Signed a pretty good record label deal. Got into an accident which resulted in the label dropping him. He was in a coma for three weeks, lost partial use of his left arm and right hand. Eventually got back into music, changing his style to a rocking blues. If that's a style of music you're into, enjoy!
