Calling Packer Backers- A. Rodgers' remarks (1 Viewer)

Packer fans know what he meant. He chose a stupid way to say "get on board" but we all say stupid things at times. We're ready for a new era of QB and offense in Green Bay. If it isn't Rodgers hopefully Brohm will be ready. Most still love Favre but it is time to move on.AddingRodgers is like Steve Young with the Niners. He's waited patiently and deserves his chance.
This comment will be as hilarious in retrospect as his comments about Texas not deserving to face Michigan in the 2005 Rose Bowl when he thought Cal got hosed, and then went on to get decimated by a Texas Tech team in the Holiday Bowl that Texas beat soundly in Lubbock. So, basically...I thought he was a whiny little failure waiting to happen then and I still think so now. He's already about as popular in Green Bay as a boner in the locker room.

Great insight here!

I admit, my first impression (as stated in the original post) was who does Rodgers think he is? But I understad that we all say stupid things.

Yes, Packer fans are sick of the Favre act and many are on board with Rodgers. I was excited the day we drafted him, many people I talked to hated him, and some still have doubts about him. I think he's going to have a great career, and if not there's Brohm behind him. Awesome managing by the Pack. You've got your prodigy child in Rodgers and if that fails they've already got a back up plan ready. Chicago Bears: take notes.

I guess I'm a little disappointed that Rodgers needs to get in the media. I know it's hard not to with Favre playing games, but just get on the field and show your skills, no need to broadcast it. Just my opinion
