Can we strike the word "great" from the modern vernacular? (1 Viewer)

With so many talking heads today [yes, I realize I am one of those talking heads], it seems like hyperbole and overstatement had reached new levels.

How often do you hear people describe things as "great" or "world class" or "the best." It's like we invent ways to slice and dice the data to support the use of these decriptors; to the point where they are virtually meaningless.

I would love it if somehow we could strip the use of the word "great" from all sports vernacular for the next 12 months. It would make for a far more interesting world.

Other words I'd like to add:

1) Seriously: ugggh, if you say something serious, you don't have to tell me you were

2) Like: kids today use it as a verb, adverb, interrogative, in place of 'umm', etc - enough!

3) Athleticism: a meaningless word used by people who don't know the words dextrous, strong, fast, quick, etc.

I think we ought to go back to groovy.
I think the great faceless mod needs to explain to the staff that it would be great if they adhered to the posted TOS.
Pppptttthhhhbbbbb, killjoy. :rant:And I hope you meant Wood when you said staff, cuz if you meant me, I've never seen a check.OK, I'm headin' for beddin' now. I'll read your witty retort in the morning.
