Just call the regular number after you do everything. "Hey, i was told I'd be getting a link to a rebate form on the directv website for a $200 GC and it's not there."
Right but they have to put the link there. it wasn't there until I said it was promised and hadn't arrived. Then she hit a button and there was the link.
Call them now and say you're supposed to get a link to a form on the rebate page. They'll probably end up mailing you two of them. $400 windfall.
and people thought I was making this nightmare up. Most recent transactions listed first. Basically what happened was they disconnected the old package and forgot to apply the new one. Only thing I'm worried about now is if they charge me some BS disconnection charges and if they only credited me for the ticket and not the ticket max. I'm directv'd out so will worry about these if and when they happen.
Sweet! That is what I used and it seemed to work (they sent email saying it has been shipped).
I never checked until you posted. I just clicked the link, logged in and they emailed me the link to the form
Hmm....that is not how it worked for me.
Mine was different from both of you. I was on the phone with her and in the rebates section under "my offers" there was nothing. She said once I agreed to what her and I discussed that the link would appear in "my offers" and it did instantly. Then all i had to do was click it and print out the form. It's still there and it says:
It's real. I'm spending it right here on this site. T-shirts and hats for the family.
No lie. I am telling you would be able to access the form. You never specify who told you what.

Same here, Chris. Only they didn't email me a link, they just told me to go to www.directv.com/rebate.
They told me I couldn't get it unless I upgraded equipment, but I went to that address and it was there. Filled it out and sent it in. I guess we'll see.
I think if the offer is there then you get it. If you have a problem tell them that's what you were told because you just were.

I guess it would be below in the part that lists the pay channels. If you have an option to upgrade to MAX then you don't have it. I had that same line on my list on the top of the page and did not have it.
You have grown up right before our eyes Willie. Started as a guy the couldn't grasp how a DVR worked to now being able to handle himself with expert skill with DTV. Your new skills will come in handy next year when you do it all over again.
Yes only one year. In fairness to myself I have been paying less than 75/month every year with HBO and sunday ticket (or red zone) for 10+ years. My initial confusion was due to not realizing people actually pay full price to begin with. Getting the gift card today took some skill and if I didn't have 10 years experience in the directv negotiating business I don't think i could have pulled it off.
