I try not to fill my lineup with rookies but out of a possible 10 starting spots I have 4 rookies on my team! Can you win Fantasy Football with that many rookies? Take a look at this year's contributing rookies. Some of them are permanent starters and out performing well known veterans:

Bradford QB

Best RB

Blount RB

Mathews (when healthy) RB

Mike Williams (TB) WR

Dez Bryant WR

Jacoby Ford WR

Hernandez TE

Moaeki TE

Gresham TE

That would be Big Fat Mike Williams aka Seattle Mike. Drafted in 2005

Forgot, I'll correct it.

To address your original question, you can win with rookies if they're scoring. I start Mike Williams TB pretty much every week as my WR3. And I occasionally spell him with Dez or Mike Wallace. But Williams stays in cuz he's pretty much money each week. Find a rookie who is solid and plug them. If you've got a couple rookies scoring? Even better.

Of course you can, just not too many IMO.

They are not as consistent.

My feelings on rookies...as well as other risky players.

If you go into a season counting on their production, your playing with fire.

I agree, relying on Best and Mathews is a recipe for disaster this year. The wr's are better for sure but a few veteran studs to anchor the team is preferable.
