Barksdale Ballers

Life saver thrown to the many mush owners like myself with injured backs (SJax, FJones, Sammy Morris/BJGE)? How's he stack up to some of the other desperation RB plays?
Well played sir. Seriously though Pittman or Betts? Let's even throw Hillis/TBell into the mix. Sadly I've picked up all these bums since I found out about SJax and Morris/BJGE sapping eachother's value. Is he a servicable backup and fill in if Portis is out? You Betts ya!
If I didnt have Dwill filling in for Portis Id probably play Betts. Hes been solid in the past and this is a very big game for them against the Cowboys.Barksdale Ballers said:Well played sir. I would want no part of the Hillis/TBell start. As for the other two, I like Betts assuming he's healthy enough. Big game against the Cowboys!Barksdale Ballers said:Well played sir. Was going to ask if this was a Pasquino alias.I think Jeff Pasquino has been wearing off on people. These are things he would post in a MNF thread.
On a more serious note guys, Alexander and Betts are on my waiver wire. Who is the better pick-up for the rest of the season ? TIAdgreen said:If Portis is inactive, I see 15 touches for Betts, 7 for SA, and 4 for Rock. I'm just not sure they'd ride Betts like they would Portis after 4 weeks off.

Some of you may need to cover your Betts.....just in case all Betts are off.(RotoWire) Betts is listed as questionable for Sunday's game against Denver, the Redskins' official site reports. "Ladell was limited (in Friday's practice)," coach Jim Zorn said. "He has two more days to get it going. I suspect he'll play."Analysis: Betts has an opportunity to start in place of an injured Clinton Portis for the first time since 2006, but Zorn indicated Betts might not be the workhorse some are expecting. "It'll be by committee, I'm sure," Zorn said, "unless Ladell feels great. But (Rock Cartwright and Quinton Ganther) will play regardless." We'll have final word on Betts' status when the inactive list is released on Sunday morning.
My guess is...Betts is listed as Questionable.
If he doesn't go, who does???????

If Mike Bell is available. Get him.A lot of people are assuming right now after last weeks game that Pierre Thomas has re-established himself as a clear #1. I believe that is a faulty assumption though. Last week the Saints were playing from behind nearly the entire game which meant a heavy dose of Reggie Bush because the Saints were focused on passing. When they did run both Bell and Thomas got carries but Thomas was the hot hand so they went with him more. This week is entirely different though. There is no one from the Saints who have said anything has changed and as it currently stands, Thomas is 1A, Bell is 1B and Reggie is the passing down back.If you believe the Saints will smoke the Rams(I do) then they will be in all likliehood be running a lot in the second half against the 27th ranked run defense. Obviously Thomas is a good play but so is Bell.In fact, the evidence so far shows Bell as the one who get the majority of the carries late when the Saints are tryiing to milk the clock.Betts is listed as Questionable. If he doesn't go, who does???????ETA: desperate Jacobs and Slaton owner
Dwill filling in for Portis? Meaning prior to this week you were benching DeAngelo in favor of Portis?uhh....If I didnt have Dwill filling in for Portis Id probably play Betts. underated post, nice haiku.Portis might not playDallas will be unpreparedYou better get Betts
I wouldn't start Goodson. Stewart has been listed as questionable virtually every week this season, and has played each week (I believe). If Williams doesn't play, Stewart will get the majority of the carries, and Goodson is a long shot.BAT1man said:I have been contemplating giving the start to Betts this week over LT![]()
, and Mike Bell (Pierre Thomas is my RB1).
DWill is a game-time decision and James Stewart is listed as questionable on Friday's injury report, so now I'm thinking of starting Mike Goodson instead of Betts. With Betts also being questionable, I think I may go with the fresh legs on a team that has been running like crazy the past few weeks.
However, if DWill gets the start, I'll go with Betts, unless Betts is not given the start due to injury.
