Seems to have had to do with an agreement between the networks that was mutually financially beneficial and some weekly quirks that caused large imbalances between conferences.

Not at all upset. Top 10 pick is the better situation even if they could win 1 game vs Zona before getting smashed.
Not enjoying it being this bad obviously but not surprised it is happening which goes to the point of they don't deserve to be in anyway.
Fire up the coaching search, Mike Smith is almost out of the building.

I think Mike Smith was great for the Falcons for the first few years, especially turning that team around after the Michael Vick fiasco. He has made the Falcons competitive almost every year, but falling short time after time in the playoffs and such has plagued him. It's time for a new coach for the Falcons, but he is leaving a team with a lot of talent behind, and the coach that takes over will have a lot of great players to work with right off the bat.
A lot of talent? You mean like 5 guys? Falcons really are bad across the board. Need lineman on both sides, a good tight end, linebackers. They really are pretty bad.

They are bad. I hear talk of them keeping TD and I shake my head. TD is more responsible for the state of the Falcons than Smith and I can't believe they are talking about keeping him. Even the WR position I think is questionable. Julio can't stay healthy and Roddy is done.

The offense was fine for most of the season (especially with all the linemen issues). The problem, as always, is the putrid defense.

Matt Ryan is horrible. Only reason for his little success has been the talent he's had on offense.

OL is terrible, Defense is beyond terrible and his receivers seem to get hurt frequently. Yet he still had the 7th-best QBR this year. They probably would have been 1-15 without him.
