Carolina at New Orleans (1 Viewer)

Did anyone really need a reminder why the Seahawks fan base is the most hated in football right now? Just an annoying arrogant bunch of tools. Even when they lose.
Sorry, I should've just let him say whatever he wanted. Saints have the best record in the NFL, check. Loudest place on Earth, check. Clinched the NFCS, check. Anything else they haven't done that we need to attribute to them without correction?
Tip...he said hostile, not loud.
Tip: ...don't use ellipses unless you know how to use them
I use them as poetic license to be lazy while writing...thanks for your concern...return to being your normal self...enjoy our night.

This team loves playing together and playing at home just as much as the Seahawks, they just know how to conduct themselves with class.
I guess all those suspensions were for an excess of class.
:lmao:

Mentioning the Seahawks is like a bat signal. You're doing excellent work in ITS' stead.
Weren't you thoe one counselling against "feeding the trolls". I guess class = serving massive suspensions. Gads made an ITS level blind homer comment. You make this silly comment. Whatever makes you feel better.

Whatever he said you can keep to yourself. I'm sure its full of class.
I'm surprised you can still type straight right now. Seen any phantom games lately?

Pretty sure he's got you blocked, champ.

I watch all of Payton-called games and just about all of Les Miles-called games. It's been a long time since I've been baffled by a coaching call.

I think every coach would take 2nd and 3 over 1st and 10, assuming about the same field position. Gut reaction was it was stupid, but I take that back. I'd start every set of downs with 2nd and 3 if I could.

I'm aware of that. I don't really want to interrupt his drinking. It's hard enough for him to keep things straight when he's that deep in his cups.

Nah, you're foregoing the opportunity for a variety of plays that first down affords.

2nd and 3 doesn't afford you a variety of opportunities?

2nd and 3 means they need to average 1.5 yards to pick up a first down before 4th down.

1st and 10 means they need to average 3.3 yards top pick up a first down.

Exactly what I was thinking, not sure why CC and Michaels are pooping themselves about it.

Has anyone mentioned how Newton doesn't carry out his fake on the read-option when he hands off to the RB? It seems lazy to me and take away any illusion there. I think he hurts his RBs by failing to do this.

It's debatable. I just think a coach is more apt to try something risky on 1st and 10, which also means the defense has to respect that.

Saints are averaging a hair under six yards per play for the season. They were given seven there. Guess it wasn't a terrible call.

Instead of always showing street musicians in and around the quarter, I wish the crew would show a couple of sous chefs doing lines of coke in the bathroom at Aunt Tiki's.

I agree it's debatable. There's a line somewhere.

Saints are averaging 6.0 yds/play coming into this game and playing against a defense only allowing 4.9 yds/play, so 2nd and 3 seems to be a better situation to me than 1st and 10.

I agree. Like the call or not, it's not exactly a gimme either way...certainly not a "terrible" choice

No argument there. I'm just thinking of the playcalling flexibility that Payton likes.

What does it take to get PI call? These zebras really need to go back to school.

There was no PI there
Really wrestling with the receiver before the ball gets there and not playing the ball isn't PI? Maybe I don't understand the rules
Handfighting by a DB and a much bigger Te won't draw a flag. Graham was NOT impeded in his path to the ball...which he actually caught BTW but was simply OOB. Sure...they could have flagged it, but it was a good no-call.

Or are you talking about the RB getting flattened on 3rd down? (Which couldn't be PI because the pass wasn't thrown, and was well within the five yard limit)
