I havent read the whole thing yet,but 2 things jump out right away.

This is a PPR league,so Rudi went too early and Westbrook too late,IMO.

It's not that accurate but it's still a decent mock draft. I mean, how many ridiculous mock drafts have we seen (NFL) ? This one had some flaws but isn't that ridiculous.

James # 5 huh? I wonder if there is an article or analysis that shows top 10 RB when they get traded to a less then optimal rushing attack.

Boys?

It would be interesting to see historically how a supposed really good back does on a bad rushing team.

Whats the scoring/rules?

That being said, these are questionable (at best) for the first 2 rounds:

5 Michael Fabiano Edgerrin James, RB, Arizona

Edge before Tiki- risky. Unless you assume Tiki is going to get hurt I dont see how Edge can possibly outperform him in AZ as bad as their D is and how much they pass.

7 Sergio Gonzalez Carnell Williams, RB, Tampa Bay

Too early, but not indefensible. Rudi and Lamont have better track records at this point.

13 Tommy Tighe Warrick Dunn, RB, Atlanta

Come on man. McGahee and Dunn? Sounds like a law firm, not a backfield.

16 Greg Bromberg Tom Brady, QB, New England

Brady can't go 1 pick after Manning in a fantasy league. Ever.

24 Pete Prisco Reggie Bush, RB, New Orleans

Too Early. You're going to match up Larry Johnson with Bush, Freddy Taylor, and Travis Henry? High risk, high reward, but if he really wanted Bush he should have gone RB/RB/RB and taken Kevin Jones or Willy Parker. If Bush ends up worth starting, one of those guys will have trade value.

Mock Draft Guidelines and Scoring:

League guidelines: Owners are required to start one quarterback, two running backs, three wide receivers, one flex (RB/WR/TE), one tight end, one kicker and one hybrid defense (DST). Rosters are limited to 16 players with no restrictions on positions (an owner could carry six RB reserves if he wanted to).

Offensive scoring: All touchdowns: 6 points; Two-point conversions: 2 points; 1 point for each 10 yards rushing and receiving; 1 point for each 25 yards passing; Receptions: 1 point; Field Goals: 3 points (5 points for a 50-plus-yard field goal); Extra Points: 1 point; Fumbles lost: minus-2 points; Passing interceptions: minus-2 points.

DST scoring: Touchdowns: 6 points; Interceptions: 2 points; Sacks: 1 point; Safeties: 2 points; Shutout: 5 points; 2-10 points allowed: 3 points.

Wow, I'd love to get S. Jackson as the #10 pick overall. Let me in this league.

McGahee went way to high, as did Brady, Dunn, and Bush.

These "experts" didn't impress me much.

TOP 3 wr GOES IN THE THIRD ROUND?

LMAO!

I hate looking at these kind of mocks, very unrealistic with the bone heads picking players.

witten in the 4th?????
And ahead of Gonzalez. Some of these guys were awful.

Ive never heard of Horowitz, but he had the worst draft.

Took Brees and Favre in the 6th and 8th, with better QBs still on the board each time.

He couldve had better value and helped his team by taking T.J. Houshmandzadeh

instead of Brees and getting Trent Green 3 rounds later.

Took Walker ahead of D. Jackson,Driver and Plaxico.

He burned 3 straight picks,10th,11th and 12th round,on a K and 2 Defenses.

Picking 2 QBs,2 Def and a K before you have any RB or WR depth is insane and not really "expert" drafting.

Pete Prisco Despite all his B.S., not bad.

25 Carson Palmer, 120 Byron Leftwich

1 Larry Johnson, 24 Reggie Bush, 49 Fred Taylor, 145 Travis Henry, 192 Cedric Houston

48 Roy Williams, 72 Joey Galloway, 73 T.J. Houshmandzadeh, 97 Mark Clayton, 144 Michael Clayton

96 Vernon Davis, 121 Ben Troupe

169 Denver

168 Lawrence Tynes

Jason Horowitz Bad value @ QB, ? RBs, ? WRs. Don't like it myself.

71 Drew Brees, 95 Brett Favre

2 LaDainian Tomlinson, 23 DeShaun Foster, 50 Chris Brown, 191 Mewelde Moore

26 Larry Fitzgerald, 47 Javon Walker, 98 Marcus Robinson, 146 Brandon Stokley, 170 Robert Ferguson

74 Alge Crumpler, 167 Marcedes Lewis

122 Pittsburgh, 143 Tampa Bay

119 Shayne Graham

Dave Richard I like the old QBs, like the RB depth (all should get playing time if not starting), WRs could really pan out but a wasted pick on Cooley IMO with the 3 quality WRs Washington has. Swap TE pick for a QB and get an = TE @ 120+. Overall, good.

123 Steve McNair, 142 Mark Brunell

3 Shaun Alexander, 27 Jamal Lewis, 51 Joseph Addai, 70 Ahman Green, 94 Frank Gore, 166 Marion Barber

22 Torry Holt, 46 Chris Chambers, 99 Eddie Kennison, 147 Ernest Wilford, 171 Roddy White

75 Chris Cooley

118 Carolina

190 John Kasay

Clark Judge After Portis and Smith, the best pick was Philly @ 189. 'Nuff said. And this guy gets paid for what he writes?

52 Donovan McNabb, 148 Jon Kitna

4 Clinton Portis, 28 Tatum Bell, 45 Chester Taylor, 117 Mike Anderson, 165 Marshall Faulk

21 Steve Smith, 76 Muhsin Muhammad, 93 Donte Stallworth, 100 Lee Evans, 172 Antonio Bryant

69 Todd Heap

141 Cincinnati, 189 Philadelphia

124 Neil Rackers

Michael Fabiano Depth @ RB is a little unnerving, but PPR will be a very good team if Edge and Westy stay healthy.

101 Trent Green, 116 Aaron Brooks

5 Edgerrin James, 20 Brian Westbrook, 68 Thomas Jones, 92 LenDale White, 164 Ryan Moats

29 Randy Moss, 44 Hines Ward, 53 Darrell Jackson, 125 Keenan McCardell, 140 Drew Bennett

77 Randy McMichael, 188 Jermaine Wiggins

173 N.Y. Giants

149 Mike Vanderjagt

Brian De Los Santos C'Pep @ 43??? Should have gotten another back there, but oterwise decent.

43 Daunte Culpepper, 91 Jake Delhomme

6 Tiki Barber, 19 Julius Jones, 54 Deuce McAllister, 126 T.J. Duckett, 163 Greg Jones

30 Marvin Harrison, 67 Joe Horn, 102 Rod Smith, 150 Antwaan Randle El, 174 Santonio Holmes

78 Heath Miller, 115 Kellen Winslow

187 Washington

139 Jason Elam

Sergio Gonzalez 2 Ds, 3 QBs and only 3 RBs? That won't make it through the season in a start 2 back league. My pick to finish last.

66 Marc Bulger, 114 Michael Vick, 175 David Carr

7 Carnell Williams, 31 Corey Dillon, 103 Ron Dayne

18 Chad Johnson, 42 Reggie Wayne, 55 Andre Johnson, 127 Koren Robinson, 151 Kevin Curtis, 186 Charles Rogers

79 L.J. Smith

90 Chicago, 162 Atlanta

138 Jay Feely

Eric Mack We all agree there was better value in a PPR @ #8, but good otherwise. Enough depth to make a trade for a 2nd QB.

65 Eli Manning

8 Rudi Johnson, 17 Domanick Davis, 32 Kevin Jones, 80 Dominic Rhodes, 104 Priest Holmes, 137 Chris Perry

41 Santana Moss, 56 Plaxico Burress, 89 Reggie Brown, 113 Issac Bruce, 128 Matt Jones, 185 Ashley Lelie

152 Alex Smith

161 Jacksonville

176 Nate Kaeding

Greg Bromberg Yeah, Brady. :loco: With RB and WR so weak, #16 was even worse! Contender for last. Hey, at least he's got good TEs and Ks.

16 Tom Brady, 88 Ben Roethlisberger

9 LaMont Jordan, 40 Reuben Droughns, 64 Kevan Barlow, 81 Samkon Gado

33 Anquan Boldin, 112 Braylon Edwards, 153 Troy Williamson, 160 Amani Toomer

57 Jeremy Shockey, 129 Jerramy Stevens

105 Indianapolis, 184 Minnesota

136 Ryan Longwell, 177 Sebastian Janikowski

Peter Madden Overkill @ RB. Make a trade to solidify the WRs and he's got a pretty good roster.

15 Peyton Manning, 130 Philip Rivers

10 Steven Jackson, 34 Cedric Benson, 63 Curtis Martin, 87 Laurence Maroney, 159 Derrick Blaylock, 178 Maurice Drew, 183 Cedric Cobbs

58 Deion Branch, 82 Jerry Porter, 106 David Givens, 154 Joe Jurevicius

39 Tony Gonzalez

135 Dolphins

111 Adam Vinatieri

Daniel E. Dobish Love the roster... but WTF is Witten the #38 pick for? Substitute w/ Droughns and I would have been pleased. :lmao:

83 Drew Bledsoe, 107 Kurt Warner

11 Ronnie Brown, 35 Willie Parker, 86 DeAngelo Williams, 179 Michael Pittman

14 Terrell Owens, 59 Nate Burleson, 61 Derrick Mason, 62 Eric Moulds, 110 Laveranues Coles, 134 Brandon Lloyd, 182 Mike Williams

38 Jason Witten, 131 Dallas Clark

158 Baltimore

155 Jeff Wilkins

Tommy Tighe Agree that there was better value than McGahee and Dunn, but really made up for it with Glenn and Key. Watson may way outperform #133 and provide a package for a better RB.

37 Matt Hasselbeck, 109 Jake Plummer

12 Willis McGahee, 13 Warrick Dunn, 85 Duce Staley, 132 Brandon Jacobs, 181 Brian Calhoun

60 Donald Driver, 61 Derrick Mason, 84 Terry Glenn, 108 Keyshawn Johnson, 180 Chad Jackson

36 Antonio Gates, 133 Ben Watson

156 Seattle

157 David Akers

chad Johnson at 18  way too low..Pete Prisco did poorly with his WR's, but, Ben Troupe at 121 was a steal..

Dave Richard has a solid unit, qb's a injury risks, but he has tremendous depth at nearly every other position.

Clark Judge did fairly well, although he's very weak at RB outside of Portis, and weak at WR outside of Steve Smith.

Fabiano has a very suspect backfield with Westbrook, Jones, LenDale White...

but I did like the Edge selection at #5 overall..

Sergio Gonzalez has a lousy backfiled , imo..outside of Carnell, who else do you have there, Dillon & Dayne? sounds like a bad sitcom.

Madden has just 1 starting RB, unless you count C-mart , who's likely to be involved in RBBC this year..

am I reading this right, Dobish and Tighe BOTH have Derrick Mason?!

if all TD's are worth 6 points, then QB's would be drafted higher than most other drafts.
25 passing yards = 1 FP mellows it.Regardless its the VBD argument that makes me tsk the Brady pick. He could almost certainly have gotten him a full round later, or worst case drafted Hasselbeck instead. This is not the year to jump for any QB short of Manning or a healthy Palmer. Too many guys in the second tier with top 3 possibilities to choose from.

I havent read the whole thing yet,but 2 things jump out right away.

This is a PPR league,so Rudi went too early and Westbrook too late,IMO.
I agree with you that in ppr leagues Rudi went a little high, but then he snagged Dom Davis in the 2nd, so it works itself out. (if you think DD will be healthy)
Good point. A healthy Davis in PPR is great value where he picked him.Fabiano did the same thing. He took Edge over Tiki but it worked for him when

Westbrook was there late 2nd round.

He took Edge over Tiki but it worked for him when Westbrook was there late 2nd round.
I dont see how that worked for him when he could have had Tiki + Westbrook, which in a PPR league is cash money in the bank. Edge has question marks.

I don't get all the Brady hate. I'm a Bills fan and wouldn't shed a tear if he broke his leg. But in my league last season where 25yards=1 pt and passing TDs=6pts, Brady outscored Manning by 3 points. Brady did lose Givens and there's the Branch issue, but I think that Chad Jackson may be better than either of those guys and Brady has never relied on just one guy anyway. The rushing game should be better, although I guess you could take that as a negative too.

IMO, Manning lost more this offseason than Brady did with the loss of Edge. Manning probably has a higher upside, but Brady is a solid pick. I wouldn't take him that high (but then again, I wouldn't take Manning that high either), but Brady should almost definitely be the next QB taken after Manning in my mind.

He took Edge over Tiki but it worked for him when

Westbrook was there late 2nd round.
I dont see how that worked for him when he could have had Tiki + Westbrook, which in a PPR league is cash money in the bank. Edge has question marks.
Youre right.I didnt put that the right way.Tiki/Westbrook wouldve been much better, but once he picked Edge

I doubt he thought Westbrook would be there for him in the 2nd.

I just meant it worked out about as well as he couldve hoped.

Passing on Tiki was dumb, having Westbrook fall

to him was dumb luck.

Blowing a top 5 pick almost never works out that well.

Looking at the RBs who wouldve been there for him had Westbrook gone early 2nd,he couldve been in much worse shape.

No question he blew it passing on Tiki, but he recovered nicely and has one of the better teams.

I would of took Manning at the 12th pick and Owens at the 13th pick.

My next pick at 36..there would of been 6-7 starting RB's still..would grab best 2 of them then! :boxing:
