I don't know much about Cedric Houston, but from what I understand he graded higher than a 6th round pick last year. Medical concerns are what dropped him in the draft, but those concerns are now gone.He is a RB in the mold of Curtis Martin.Since the Jets have plenty of needs, what are the chances they run with Cedric Houston next year?Has he shown enough as a rookie on a horrid offense?

Thanks for the insight.
ahhh sorry I just...the Cedric Houston love here is a bit much. IMO Poor Curtis worked hard his whole career and is a shoe-in for the HOF. Now some rook plays a handful of games and he's similar? oh cmon now.Well, they have Blaylock. Last time we saw him play meaningful minutes he was one of 3 RBs playing awesome for the Chiefs. System? good RB? Great RB? Who knows, probably just a good one with a bit extra speed if I had to guess.

Houston seems more of the sled-dog type but I don't see the team hitching up to him until they know for sure Blaylock isn't better. I would guess RBBC to start 06.

Then there's still Curtis. He didn't retire. What if he's a Jet in 06? Then it's really RBBC and it'll be ugly. He wouldn't be the first vet to take a lesser deal to finish his career where he's at.

I could see Curtis going to NE to be a backup, to his hometown Pitt to be a backup, or to Dallas. Dallas has young backs and not much need for him. However Sam Gash was his RB coach this year and Carthon is getting interviewed for HC jobs so if he has a desire to coach, he may wanna hook up with Parcells one more time. Any team would take him(great teammate+character) at a cheap rate so...we'll see.

Of course Bush would force the Jets hand to not even bother wonderring about these two anymore. He would also, IMO, nudge them to really really try and get Curtis to stay and teach the youngster. It's January so it's about time Abraham complains about his contract, for that reason I wouldn't mind them trading he and the #1 for Bush but I don't think that's happennin'. I think they're looking at D'Brickshaw like many have said here already.
