Miami Dolphins wide receiver Chris Chambers was arrested early Saturday and charged with driving while impaired in Charlotte, N.C., the Miami Herald reported on its Web site.

The newspaper reported that according to the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department's crime log, Chambers was arrested at 2:31 a.m. and charged with driving while impaired, reckless driving and speeding. He was later released on a $1,750 bond.

The Dolphins declined to comment and neither Chambers nor his agent, Ben Dogra, could be reached for comment, according to the report.

anyone else think this is a BIG value bump to Hagan?
From all of Chambers' problems getting things together, I'd it wouldn't take much for Hagan to rise anyway. I don't think this has much bearing on Hagan's value unless Chambers is actually suspended.

Latest word from Rotoworld:

Chris Chambers was arrested and charged with driving while impaired, speeding, and reckless driving in Charlotte early Saturday morning.

Chambers, who is currently free on bond, was taken into custody at 2:31 AM. He is the third Dolphin arrested this offseason. It is Chambers' first known run-in with the law as a pro, so he shouldn't be in danger of a suspension.

In a move designed to mimic Chambers on the field, the Charlotte PD dropped the charges.
:2cents: :lmao: Anyway, come on commish, sit this punk out for the year! :hot: Make an example of him! Your previous examples are obviously not working!

My arch rival has Chambers in my dynasty league.

I think that's a horrible idea. Chambers is my WR3/4 this year....give him a slap on the back of the hand and let the man go back to dropping 50% of the balls thrown to him. :lmao:

Here is from a Miami newspaper http://www.miamiherald.com/598/story/170803.html along with a nice mug shot
Impaired could mean "Stoned".Looking at that picture, the dude is STONED outta his mind.
Although I can't access the picture I can tell you Chambers eye's always look yellow and blood shot. The dude always looks like a drunk with a liver problem.
It's also easy to look "chinese" when a huge flash bulb is blinding you for a mug shot.

I agree NFL needs to put this clown on the side line, 6 games suspended at least, is the message that needs to be sent.

Why would it be bad if he wasn't drunk?

could have been illegal drugs in his system although I don't know if they would test for that...

Sun-Sentinel Article

Dolphins receiver Chris Chambers passed a breathalyzer test at the police station after his Saturday morning arrest for driving while impaired, reckless driving and speeding, according to sources.

According to the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department, Chambers was taken into custody at 2:31 a.m. Saturday.

He was released on $1,750 bond Saturday afternoon. He has been working out in North Carolina in preparation for training camp, to which veterans must report on July 27.

At a hearing Monday, an Aug. 15 court date was set, according to Charles Keller, Mecklenburg County Community Access and Outreach Administrator. According to an arrest affidavit, Chambers had difficulty with some of the standard field sobriety tests, and he refused a breathalyzer at the scene. It also said Chambers was driving 74 mph in a 45 mph zone.

Palm Beach Post

The six-year NFL veteran refused to submit to an on-scene sobriety test, but blew a .06 after being transported to the county jail, the report said. In North Carolina, a driver with a blood-alcohol content at or above .08 percent is considered legally impaired.

The arresting officer noted in the report that Chambers' eyes were watery and glassy and the officer said there was a strong odor of alcohol. The officer also said Chambers could not recite his ABCs or count backward from a given number.

 @ not being able to do that with a .06...

for the record 74 in a 45 is a very normal pace on South Florida roads

basicly, if you drive the limit or below - your considered a complete hazard to us all. one reason we hate the retired Canadian snowbird migration each winter
