I may be going down with the ship as I like to do (see my sig), but I'll continue to argue (despite MT's more extensive eyes-on analysis) that the 2004 version of Terrence Kiel is the real deal and that his ankle injury was a major hindrance.
Incumbent strong safety Terrence Kiel also remains. A starter since midway through his rookie season in 2003, Kiel injured an ankle in last season's fourth game and by December needed surgery to insert three screws. “It affected my play a whole lot,” Kiel said of the ankle. “I know there were some plays I didn't make.”
Kiel 2004 16 games, 71 solo, 25 assists, 1 sack, 2 FF/FR, 2 INT, 10 PDKiel 2005 first 4 games: 31 solos, 2 assists, 1 sack, 1 FFlast 12 games (missed 4): 18 solo, 8 asst, 1 FR, 6 PDI know the Chargers coaches have been praising Hart, but I still like Kiel as the better talent if everybody is healthy.
