Charles Manson now dead (1 Viewer)

Why the hell take him to the hospital?  Just leave him in his cell and get him when you can smell his rotting flesh then stick him in bag and bury him in an unmarked grave.

Death is hiding behind his door pretending he's not there in the hopes that Manson will just get bored and leave.

Anyone else ever hear the urban legend that Charles Manson has a very high IQ, and that the Powers That Be[TM] steered him away from the death penalty so that he could "solve complex problems for the government" while imprisoned?

I'm sure the full legend is essentially BS, but is there a kernel of truth there?
This led me down a 90 minute interwebs wormhole of Manson-related conspiracy theories.  The Beatles, the Beach Boys, at least three other unsolved murders, Son of Sam, the CIA, a Scientology splinter group called The Process, Satanic assassins for hire, Cole St. in the Haight District of San Francisco, Rosemary's Baby, RFK's assassination....I need to step away from the laptop now.

Being a hippie was fun til the Manson trial. I was a runaway at the time and that's all the roadfreaques could talk about, how the rides had dried up for hitchhikers since all that began. I mean, there was bounties for the hair of any hippie in Wyoming & WTexas well before those crazies did they bidness, but Nixon & Manson really put the kibosh on us with the citizens, the folks whose sons & daughters we might have been. Thanks, Charlie - BIH

Murders were exactly one week before Woodstock.

Maybe it'll be on season 2 of Mindhunters.

Manson was such a part of my growing up.  I wasn't even a teenager when all that went down ...and in those times that kind of stuff wasn't really brought out in the news.

I read all the books ...just fascinating, not in a good way, but like a horrible wreck from which you can't turn away.

It's really too bad that torture isn't allowed under extreme circumstances.  I know he grew up in prisons and knew his way around ...but ####, the fact that the rest of the genpop let him thrive goes to show what kind of people we have chosen to lock up.

Stephen Stills, Neil Young and other musicians of the time used to visit Charlie's ranch back in the day because Charlie let them sleep with any of his flock.
