I thought he played well vs the Pack ... 4 solos and 2 FF, but the last 2 weeks haven't been so hot. I'm pretty sure he played RCB last week (can someone confirm) and McBride played LCB (5-3-0 PD). This may continue until Vasher returns.Bears | Vasher misses Week 7

Brad Biggs, of the Chicago Sun-Times, reports Chicago Bears CB Nathan Vasher (groin) did not play in the team's Week 7 game. He is expected to be slowly worked back in. He will be re-evaluated as the week goes on.
Tillman will do this, have a couple of down weeks .. you bench him ... THEN boom he blows up! WTS, I'm not excited about his matchup this week, but this could be the game he picks one and takes to the house. He missed the 1st game vs Detroit, the CB's didn't do much in that game.
what i dont get is how his best game in the last 3 weeks was the one immediately after his injury when he was questionable and on my bench . How does one do worse as there injury begins to heal
I'm confused why Tillman is being considered such a great start this week. In the 1st matchup between these two teams, McBride was 3-1-0 with a FF, and Manning was 2-0-0. In Tillman's only game vs the Rod Marinelli/Mike Martz Detroit era, (week 2 in '06) he was 4-0-0. I know Winfield and Griffin both had a nice game back in week 2. Is it the fact that the DB's have out tackled (actually significantly) the LB's 4 of the last 5 games? The only game they didn't, was vs Chicago. What am I missing here?

I'm in between here. Generally speaking, man coverage corners are going to be a little better start against a Martz offense than corners who play a bunch of zone and are solid run supporters.Martz has apparently committed to running the ball more and Minnesota is a fairly aggressive unit, which probably accounts for Winfield, but you saw how meh the Tampa corners ended up last week. I think Tillman should be solid if Martz can run enough and any corner is always a consideration against a gunslinger with questionable judgment like Kitna. I don't know if he's a clear top ten based on matchup and some lingering injury concerns, but I still think he's a starter unless you've got clearly more attractive options.
I generally set my starters on Sunday nite (tentatively), then come Thursday/Friday I check the FBG cheatsheets, usually we’re on the same page. I’m more of a go with gut type than a numbers, in terms of WDIS. When FBG has someone way up there that I don’t, then I’ll dig into the numbers to see what I’m missing. In this case, I’m not real clear on that. I suppose … with FBG having Tillman so high and with AB feeling he’s a strong play, I’ll most likely go with Tillman. Wasn’t trying to turn this into a WDIS thing. Don’t flag me Jean.

Admittedly, it's a fine line. Threads in the main forum really should benefit everyone, and I think this discussion qualifies. The AC Forum is for all the clearly team specific stuff. If this was a cleverly disguised WSIS question then you me, you wily veteran. Flag on me.
