Mariah "entertained" us with a meltdown. Her backround mix tape kicked on (it hit the high note) and she didn't sing but instead started complaining and mumbling. I am not a fan so it was cool.

Yeah well her voice track was all autotuned and syrupy anyway. Would've looked fake even if she did a perfect lip sync. She gets winded sitting down to take a dump.

I feel like the first song was legit and then they played the entire track for the second.

So she was going to actually sing the first song but supposedly her monitor went out...that would make sense. But the second song was terrible for lip syncing, way overproduced. Would've looked bad no matter what. Seemed like she was so thrown off by the first song debacle that she blew off the second one too. Those big thighs looked okay though.

The Mariah performance was disturbingly and embarrassingly bad. I worry that she's on the brink of a meltdown. Every performer has bad performances--but you generally see them trying to work through them. She literally just checked out. Maybe she was drunk or medicated or a combination of both--but either way--that seemed like far more than an issue with a monitor to me.
I have to say that I wasn't very impressed by Lionel Richie either. I also thought Panic at the Disco was pretty bad (although I don't really like them anyway). I do have to say that I was impressed by Jason Derulo. I wouldn't have called myself a fan of his music before tonight--but seeing how he performed essentially during a rain/hail storm was very impressive. I also watched his carpool karaoke with corden after watching his performance tonight--and I had no idea that the dude studied music and was an Opera singer.

So, Mariah refused to practice during the sound check on the 30th. The backup dancers did their thing, but Mariah was having none of it.
Also, she can't hit the high notes any more, so the whole performance was supposed to have a track that she sang over. That track didn't play for the first song. Because she wouldn't want to get up and show that she can't sing, she didn't try and just blamed ABC. There issue with her ear piece was that the track wasn't playing. Apparently Mariah will be singing over a back up track (basically lip synching) during any performance she gives.
As an aside, apparently her people are not exactly the most polite, hurling the C-word at the ABC person trying to coordinate numerous times.

I still think it's absurd that we can't play online poker for real dough in 2018. It's been what now.. 8 years? With two kids now I wouldn't have time for the big tournaments anymore, but I'd absolutely play small cash games or sit n go's still. I can't believe draftkings is a thing but poker stars isn't

Ah making your own "Baseball Stars" team. I remember those. Had a team created with same names as guys on my little league team.

I had a team named "Girls I've Boned" with a starting lineup of girls I'd had relations with. Unfortunately I didn't have enough to complete a team.. so i had to settle for girls i'd made out with.. or thought about boning.

Had dinner reservations. 2018 sucked so bad we didn't feel like celebrating. So cancelled the reservation, stayed home and grilled salmon and asparagus. Now drinking some of our favorite red wine. Going to watch a comedy we taped off the free HBO weekend. Be in bed by 10:00. Winning!

Staying home, bbq chicken wings and meatballs, goat cheese with crackers, and some veggies. watching MN wild hockey now and we have free HBO weekend after that. Wife talkin about breaking out the skimpy leopard skin night ware. Doesn’ Get any better!
