Chester Taylor or Kevin Jones? (1 Viewer)

Chester Taylor

It looks like Chester will get his carries this year, great line on paper, but nothing scary in the passing game to keep defenses from stacking the box.

Kevin Jones

Looks to be the man in Detriot offense (the Calhoun hype has faded) but will Martz's offense hurt or help him?

Both have looked pretty dissapointing in the preseason (preseason I know), both play in the same week division. What are your thoughts? If forced to choose, whom would you pick between the two?

Thanks in advance for your comments.

I actually ended up with both of them in my draft tonight (#6 overall, took Rudi first). I was a little discouraged to see Taylor struggle yet again tonight. Tough choice at this point.

Kevin Jones >>>>> Chester Taylor

It ain't even close folks.

Not too high on either one.If i had a gun put to my head (or a 4th round pick with both still available) i'd take Kjones
Neither of those guys would be available in the 4th. I'm talking about whom to take in the 2nd round?Excluding WRs, I have the 2nd round looking like this:McGahee,WestbrookFWPBush(potentially)then either chester or kevinAm I missing out on something?

Nah, I'm just saying out of those two choices...I'd only consider it if they slid that far.out of the backs you just listed in a PPRBushFWPWestbrookMcgaheeKevinChesterbut my rankings are probably different than most.

KJ. More experience as a starter, should be used more in the passing game with Martz around and overall a better offense with Martz around. I'm curious to see if Chester can produce facing a lot of 8 man fronts with the Vikes receiving core in limbo.

Going into my main draft tonight ($150.00 redraft, 12 teams) drafting from the 6 spot, I took Rudi followed by Holt followed by K. Jones- C. Taylor was also available in the 3rd.

I really like both this year (schedules are both nice among other things) but I think the Lions will be the more potent offense overall. I love Chester's Pro Bowl Blockers but I like the Lions outlook as an entire team better.

It was almost a coin flip, but I ended up with Jones.

I was seriously considering this strategy as well. I think that is a great start to a team, but we are a start 3 WR league, which bumps value on that position. In a start 2 WR league or a flex league I would have taken all 3 in a heartbeat.
