Chicago D vs SF? (1 Viewer)

I have Chicago and Philly. I hate to run Philly against SD mainly because I have Rivers and Gates. I hate to run a D against my QB. What do you think? I could also pick up NYJ today if they're available at 10:00.

pick up the jets to play at home against garrard and the jags.

if you don't get them, go with the bears. smith had 4 turnovers last week.

:( The Bears defense has been fairly bad against good QBs lately...San Fran does not have those. Palmer and Warner made them look horrible, but they made life miserable for Senecca Wallace and the Clevland debacle at QB (they also made Ryan look less than spectacular). Don't forget, as soon as Lienart made his first appearance in last week's game the Bears had an INT (which is why Warner came back in again). The Bears D is a decent start against inferior QBs, but get lit up like Christmas trees against good ones.

Just dropped bears in my main league for Dallas for the rest of the year. Besides the game against the browns they have done nothing the last few weeks.

Unless you get points for a Hester return(guy has been extremely close to busting one on too many occasions to count this season and is probably due for a 2 TD game), they are worthless without Urlacher/Tillman and Tommie Harris has never been the same since his hamstring injury in 2006. Cut and don't worry about them as the blueprint on how to destroy the Bears without their cogs has hit the market.

Gore will go off for at least 100 and a score.

The Bears still may win the game, but I see the 49ers putting up at least 3 TD's.

Start the defense who you think will score the most fantasy points. It should not matter who your QB is.
Exactly. Imagine if you sit the defense you like better b/c they're going against your QB and then your QB proceeds to have a horrible game with a couple pick 6's. Then not only do you have a lousy performance by your QB but you have to stomach missing out on a great defensive performance.

You would really bench a Defense because you have 2 players going against them? Are you mentally challenged? I'm sure Gates & Rivers will play good or bad based on your lineup decisions. Philly will have 3 INTs if you start them, but only 1 INT if you bench them...

That said, pick up the Jets. Chicago D is atrocious, there are 25 better options this week, Jets & Philly being among them.

I'm expecting the Bears to get torched by San Fran on the short week. The 49ers are steaming after their loss against the Titans and will look to make an example of Cutler and company in primetime.

With Old Man Isaac out of commission and Josh Morgan still manning the doghouse, the talk after tomorrow night's game will be starter Jason "I'm Not Mentioned Anywhere in the Cheatsheet Rankings" Hill.

Any value the CHI DEF has is negatively affected by the CHI offense and their putrid ability to turn the ball over.

yeah, i'm from chicago and i am starting all SF against the Bears. That's how much confidence I have that the bears are going to get their butts kicked. I actually think Alex Smith is capable of doing this. Chicago is a much softer pass D than his previous opponents and he's starting to gel. I think Tenn is actually back on page after their bye so can't fault Alex for not dominating them like everyone else did earlier in the season. It's a shorter week, an away game, and nationally televised so yeah, the Bears have a hell of a disadvantage. You don't start Chicago unless you have a deathwish. I'd much rather roll with the Eagles and I'd be fine with them if I didn't have anyone better on the waiver. As good as SD is, they aren't as good as NO so I don't expect them to destroy the defense but maybe do as much damage as Dallas did last week. Rivers has a terrible O-line that has been allowing a lot of sacks though so you should be good there.

Didn't Morgan take over Bruce's starting job? Wondering about your doghouse comment about Morgan...

I noticed this too...

No respect, I tell ya...

I hear everybody on predicting the SF win...

....but these are the types of games - in the type of spots - that Lovie wins.

Agree with the others the Bears D has not been the same, with that I dropped them last week for the up and coming Bengals D.

While I really hate to be "that guy", how the heck is this not AC forum material? They guy is very explicitly asking for advice on who to start for his team, given his exact situation.

I think the offense has done about as well as one can expect given the absolutely horrific play of the offensive line. Cutler deserves a medal for his performance this season, as most QB's would be on the IR by now. The defense is simply terrible without Urlacher, the offense mediocre.
