* The Chiefs are bracing for a training-camp holdout by running back Larry Johnson. Johnson, who has rushed for 3,539 yards and 37 touchdowns the last two seasons, has 3 years left on the deal he signed as a rookie in 2003. He is scheduled to make $1.85 million this year and $967,000 next year. The Chiefs have been talking to Johnson's agent about a new deal, but the two sides still are far apart. A club source put the odds of Johnson holding out this summer at 50-50. Johnson, who owns a home in New York with rapper Jay-Z, showed up in Kansas City Sunday for the first time since the team began its voluntary workouts last month and has worked out with his teammates the last 2 days. He has indicated that he will attend the team's postdraft minicamp in 2 weeks.

Several things.. First, I find it interesting that a Philly newspaper is reporting this. Secondly, who is the idiot agent that allowed him to sign a 7 year contract as a rookie? Third, this seems like things are not looking good for LJ owners this year.

If he holds out who will take his sopt? Turner? Just kidding about Turner but seriously who will be the guy? Do they go get Dillon, Brown someone like that. I doubt they go with Bennett.

I did do a search, and the thread you linked was fantasy owners concerned about him this upcoming year, not about him holding out.

Furthermore, there were no threads on LJ the first 3 pages (dating back to yesterday) and this is a new article.

Thanks but try again.

rascal,

Take a deep breath ...

There are many instances where your reported "article" is referenced and discussed in depth in the thread I provided, and I still do not see that it warrants a secondary thread.

Furthermore, there are no other corroborating sources for the story from philly.com, so I am much less inclined to revere the information. It is not even in the same time zone. Don't you think that a KC sports writer like ADAM TEICHER wouldn't jump at this sort of story if it had any teeth ...

Dancing Bear,Step down from your pompous arrogant chair.Who made you the board police? Hopefully being an ### on a message board gives you the sense of dignity and worth to go about your normal life. Personally I don't care what you think. BTW, did I not say in my first post that it being mentioned by philly.com as a source of concern? Thought so.

I had to check the link again, I thought I was at FFToday.com :kicksrock:

I think maybe Larry Johnson is just now starting to realize that he doesn't want the damn ball. At least not before he gets his one big payday.
