I would say KC D or Rivers is the top "waiver wire darling" this year.

I drafted Rivers, but KC and Moreno this season have been my two most significant WW pickups I can remember making in the 13 years I've been playing this hobby. Some leagues with shorter benches didn't draft Moreno because of the hype about Ball.

I couldn't believe KC put up the sick 8 sack, 3 Int, 1 TD stat line against the Raiders without Brandon Flowers yesterday. They're just that deep, and just that good.

I think I'm not going to worry about pairing them with another defense, for when they play Denver or other solid offenses. This fantasy defense appears as matchup proof as they come. I've come to rely on the 25-30+ points they put up for me every game, and certainly would not be undefeated this season without those points. It's such a matchup advantage when I have this and my opponent has Houston's defense getting zero points, for example, which is what happened yesterday.

They were never on waivers in my 2 leagues. However, its cause I drafted them. I always draft them and get laughed at. Finally, guess who is laughing now. It was worth the wait.

And it was 10 sacks, FTR.

Very glad that I sneaked them on to my team just before the Eagles' game.

Best value in all of fantasy football this year with Manning 2nd and Jordan Cameron 3rd.

ETA: After looking at the numbers, Chiefs D is 2nd. Manning's numbers are insane. He's basically equal to Stafford PLUS LeSean McCoy in my league. That's a ridiculous advantage.

They've been my best player outscoring Rodgers so far by 22 pts. They are the 3rd highest scorer in the league only to Manning and Brees. They have kept me a float when half my team decided not to play. Ww pick up of the year.

Looking to snag Indy for week 10, 11 & 13. Good matchups there. As great as Kc is not risking it against the Denver offense.

I picked them up for a plug&play before Week 2 on a hunch when I thought Romo & Dez were banged up. Now they're my MVP so far, ha.

I like Miami for their Denver/bye weeks: @Bucs, Chargers, @NYJ. Also Steelers & Bills later if you're scared of the Redskins/Colts matchups.

Chiefs DEF is ridiculous... carrying me every week... really making a strong case for why finding the top DEF off the waiver wire early on in the season can be so important for your team on a week to week basis.. much like San Francisco in 2011

I'm looking at TEN and IND during these weeks:

TEN has the favorable championship matchup. Both of these DEFs probably won't last on waivers for too long, but I really don't want to roster them both.

I will play them every week regardless of match ups. KC will hold their own against the Donkeys. With an elite defense like this I play them every week. I think they could get me at least 15 points on their bye. Do you sit Megatron when he goes against a top corner? Doyu sit AD vs the best run defenses?

Not exactly the same thing. One player has a chance to outperform a defense. A defense though may have a hard time stopping an entire offense. Especially with how well Denver has looked. Obviously anything can change between nnow and then but for now I'm banking on sitting them those weeks.

I am also debating leaving them in for the Denver games. They are such a talented defense and in my league we get pts for return yardage and TFL, so there is usually a way to salvage letting up alot of points...they saved my butt this week.

Cooper's play has been HUGE. Dorsey made some amazing acqusitions after the cut down to 52. Cooper and Mcgrath have both made bigtime plays.

Better go w/ a nickel package with Abdullah teaming up alongside Smith on D.Thomas or he'll burn him all day. This leaves the front 6 to pressure manning and keep Moreno from getting by them. It's possible, but they'll still put up some points. Can Alex Smith keep up? That's another conversation.

I bought up Chiefs D on draft night specifically for week1 matchup w/ a plan on streaming D's all season. By the time week1 came and went it was clear this unit was special, and they are just unreal!!! Lovin my Chiefs D!! Bringin Arrowhead back baby!

Smith has arguably been the best CB for KC...Smith is a big aggressive CB perfect matchup between those 2 guys. Oh Denver will score. I wonder historically how the top offense vs top Defenses games turn out? The offense has been a concern. Passing issues seem to be getting worse and worse....That is no Bueno!

KC's biggest issue in stopping the Bronco O could be the very tempo with which they try to play O themselves.

KC D is elite, but if their on the field a lot Manning and Co. will move it and score.

I made a mistake in benching KC for Seattle (figured Fitzpatrick would self-destruct against an angry Seahawk defense), but luckily I'm going to win anyways. I still have a dilemma going forward however. I've played the matchups so far, but I might just have to leave KC in no matter what.

ha i did the exact same thing yesterday.... with the chiefs and seattle i have the top 2 D's... i've been throwing deals out there where I give up Seattle or Chiefs + a player for a slight upgrade at whatever position the player plays... but so far no one is interested.

10 sacks though... holy cow

Pretty much.

John Dorsey put this team together in the offseason with Denver in mind. The Cooper pick up was an absolute gold mine: remember they brought in Dunta Robinson as well, not to mention Mike DeVito to help solidify the line.

And don't forget, you have Derrick Johnson roaming around out there also.

Yep. I grabbed them in the 17th round for my Defense and loving that 25-40 pt cushion to pad mi stats. Team looks fierce :makeitdrizzle:

That was definitely a good FA signing. I don't get why he came so cheap or why didn't Miami re-sign him.
