Where did you hear about this?
Well, I overheard Billy whispering to Cindy in math class, and Billy said that Chris shoved Johnny, but that Billy hadn't believed that, you know, 'cause of the suspension and all, but then Billy also talked to Timmy who said that he'd heard Scooter talking about how he'd personally seen it happen and how Scooter's not the kind of guy to lie about this stuff although he is Johnny's friend, so . . .

The teen filed a police report Friday night. According to the report, he and a friend were walking along the corner of Mount Zion Road and Wetherington Boulevard. A little after 11:00 p.m., an SUV pulled up next to them. A man got out of the car and began assaulting the victim.According to the report, when the two teens tried to run away, a second man got out of the car and pushed one of the boys to the ground. The next day, the alleged victim told police the second man was Chris Henry, said Cloyd. That's also when he told police he saw McNeal inside the car.
I told my parents that same story when I was a kid, only it was Y. A. Tittle and Frank Gifford. It didn't work for me, either.

That was that Halloween when you dressed up as a flight attendant, right?

The story sounds hokey, but if it is true, he should be gone from the NFL, it seems he will never learn.

:headbang: Henry is clearly a troubled guy, but just pulling up to a couple of teenagers and beating the crap out of them? Either this story is completely fabricated or there is definitely something missing. It wouldn't surprise me a ton if it turned out that drugs were somehow involved and a deal went bad. Or maybe the kids threw something at the SUV or shouted something. Then the story makes more sense. \

this WREAKS of an extortion attempt.

You are going to tell me these guys just jumped out of a car and beat up some 16 year old kid? For no reason? Give me a break.

:excited:
It sounds like there was a fight and Chris Henry broke it up like the good citizen he is. In the process the kid tripped and fell. Chris then gave the white kid a ride home because he was in a bad neighborhood.

First thing I thought when I saw Joe's e-mail. Doesn't seem to make sense. Then again, it is Chris Henry.

Will you believe it when the Judge tells you, or will you need to see the tape? What has Chris Henry ever done to make you think he wouldn't do this? Guy is obviously a career criminal.

Hmm, let's see the Title of this yahoo masterpiece is:

Source: Assault Claims Against Bengals Receiver Unfounded
I think the telltale part that this is BS is that the kid could tell that the other guy was Reggie McNeal, like anybody would even know what he looks like.-QG

Wouldn't this have to prove to be completely untrue to stave off punitive action by Goodell. Meaning, I think a "I was trying to break up the fight" excuse might not get it—Goodell could simply suspend or ban him for hanging out with thugs that beat up teenagers. Unless this story is a TOTAL fabrication, I think Henry is screwed.

So some 16-yr-old in Cincy has a FF rival. Said rival has Chris Henry on his roster. Pretty ingenious, if you ask me.

My first thought as well. There's not an easier target right now besides Pacman, but Henry has shown he can perform very well at this level and currently has the most to lose.If this is made up, this kid should be banned from ever going to any NFL related event

If it was an extortion attempt, henry or his agent would have said so. The fact that he and his family refuse to talk about this incident tells me it a lot closer to the way the kid is telling it. Say whatever you want about vick and pacman but chris henry is the real low life

What are the odds Henry is either in prison for a long sentence (20+ years), or dead by 2009?
Opening Vegas odds:Chris Henry will be in prison by 2009 * +600Chris Henry will be dead by 2009 * +7500The 75-1 for Henry being dead by '09 represents some nice value, imo.

Reeks is the proper word you're loking for here. And it is possible, although how he could extort money with the situation in the open is beyond me, unless he gets paid off to drop the charges. No one had a problem believing Eric Allen (I think it was him) and Michael Irvin raped the woman who accused them. Henry's made himself an easy target. You might think it's irrational to think they did it for no reason but he has a long history of irrationally stupid behavior. But we'll see how this thing plays out. I doubt he takes a snap again in the NFL if it's true. And then who knows what Henry will do next. Look at Clarett.

After the allegations were reported Wednesday morning in the media, a league source told News 5 that police have found that the teen's claims were unfounded.

But despite that second report, Henry might not want to break out the champagne just yet. WLWT has updated its report, and although the station is not backing away from the unnamed source who said the accusation was unfounded, the station also reports that Florence Police Capt. Linny Cloyd said police have not reached any conclusions and the case remains under investigation. The Bengals' web site says Henry was at the team's voluntary practice session this morning. It's not clear whether the "league source" cited by WLWT, who said police found that the Henry claims were unfounded, had any contact with Henry at the Bengals' team facility. If Henry really was falsely accused, it would be his the second time this off-season: Last month a prosecutor said he had failed a drug test, but it turned out that he hadn't.

WCPO, 7:54 pm

The teenagers – one 18-years-old and the other 16-years-old – said they were walking at the intersection when a black SUV pulled up and a man inside asked one of them if he was a certain person.

"When he replied 'No,' that he wasn't, at that point in time the white gentleman in the car punched him," said Florence police spokesperson Captain Linny Cloyd.

"The victim tells us that another person, African-American, got out of the car as he and his friend were trying to leave and shoved him to the ground," said Cloyd.

The police report on the incident only contains the words "unknown male subject" when referring to the assailant.

Dispatchers sent an officer to the scene, but he couldn't find the vehicle.

The case was turned over to a detective on Monday.

"He talked to the victim in the case and was presented with a photograph – a computer-generated photograph – of Chris Henry, that he was the one who assaulted him," Capt. Cloyd said.

"As well, he said Reggie McNeal was also there and had assaulted him as well," said Cloyd.

Can't wait to see how this turns out. I have a feeling it isn't what was originally reported. BTW-gotta love these guys giving thier opins on this while saying at the same time they don't think this is what went down. Some folks just hate regardless. Not that Henry is anything special to defend but at least know the facts first before passinf judgement. :goodposting:

Does anyone else find it hilarious that when the Cincy PD are trying to identify suspects, one of the first mug shots they're showing witnesses is that of Chris Henry??? :lmao:

It is actually in Kentucky

POLICE THINK HENRY ACCUSERS ARE TELLING THE TRUTH

The latest situation involving Bengals receiver Chris Henry and the laws that govern an otherwise free society is getting weirder all the time.

In the wake of Wednesday's story that two yutes accused Henry and teammate Reggie McNeal of assaulting one of them on Friday night, reports emerged suggesting that the allegations were false.

But it now appears that police believe that claims to be anything but false.

Per WCPO-TV, Florence, Kentucky police think that the 16-year-old who was assaulted and his 18-year-old witness are telling the truth.

Henry and McNeal claim that they were in a different part of the city at the time, but it's not yet known whether they admit that they were together.

The investigation is ongoing. If Henry is prosecuted for assault, he likely will face revocation of probation on a Kentucky charge of giving alcohol to a minor and on a Florida weapons charge.

Oh, and his NFL career likely hangs in the balance on this one. He has been suspended for the first eight games of the 2007 season based on past transgressions, and if he screws up again he could be banished permanently from the league.

Yeah, but it figures to reek havoc with Henry's career in the meantime. :football:

I'm sorry, I assumed all the posts defending Henry were sarcastic but seeing them repeated this many times makes me question that assumption. Is there really anybody out there who thinks Chris Henry WOULDN'T jump out of a car and start beating the crap out of a kid for no reason?

I would say this is one of those rare occasionswhere clown should be declared guilty until proven innocent.

Whether or not a person WOULD do something doesn't mean they DID do something.
